Café Turó — Restaurant in Barcelona

I am disgusted by the lack of service at this establishment. I made a reservation for lunch which was confirmed by the restaurant,. When I called to let them know our party size change from 5ppl to 3ppl. They guy who answered, tells me he doesn’t understand how we had our reservation confirmed since they were not taking reservations. I explained that I made the reservation and have the confirmation email from them.

The guy goes on to tell me they have no outdoors seating so he can’t accommodate our reservation. Mind you, we never asked to be seated outside or made any requests of any kind. When I tried to explained this to him, he tells me they are in the middle of service and have no time to speak with me.

Now I have worked in the industry for over 20 years and I would have never treated a customer this way regardless of service being busy or slow. He was so disrespectful on the phone, not letting me explained myself and cutting me off before I could even say two words that I told him to forget it and canceled my reservation. I will never visit this establishment as obviously they have zero regards for their patrons.

Absolutely delicious coffee – rich, aromatic, and brewed to perfection. The kind of cup you wish you could start every day with. The food? Equally impressive. We’ve been coming here for years. There was a small time after the pandemic the service and food quality seemed to have suffered. However, we’ve never quit coming as it’s a neighborhood favorite meeting place, situated immediately outside of Turo Parc. The outdoor sitting is great for people-watching and sipping on a cocktail or wine. The tacos con salsa de cafe de Paris is always fantastic…I suggest bread to dip in the buttery, decadent.
