What happened last Saturday in this establishment is out of all possible limits; although I must admit that the food was not bad, the attention received leaves much to be desired. The practice of not including VAT in the menu prices of dishes is absolutely illegal, to which all consumers should put a claim and "do not pay the extra cost". The reaction of the owner and the restaurant manager when asking the reason for this bad practice was of an unheard education. We were also badly denied when asking for the claim sheet, which they didn’t have. What could have been a nice dinner on a Saturday night, became an unpleasant experience that even included the police intervention. We were four people from different nationalities, and none of us had ever experienced such situation. What did surprised us all is the lack of ability to handle such scenarios with basic education, especially being professionals from the tourism and...

Ayo, I pulled up to Cafe de Paris thinking it was about to be some real classy, cozy, French vibes—maybe some soft jazz, a little candlelight, you know, something smooth. But nah.
First off, they had the door wide open like they tryna air out a crime scene. I ain’t know if I was eating dinner or surviving the winter. Table was cold, food was cold, vibe was dead. No music, no atmosphere, just me sitting there like I made a bad life decision.
Ordered some French cuisine, but it felt more like leftovers fresh out the fridge. Ain’t nobody in the kitchen checking the temperature? I mean, c’mon, I know y’all tryna be “authentic,” but I ain’t ask for a Paris sidewalk café in December.
Look, I ain’t saying I need VIP treatment everywhere I go, but a little heat and some tunes ain’t too much to ask for. Fix that up, and maybe I’ll spin back....

We tried the leek, fresh tuna belly and grape salad (wonderful), the pasta with oxtail sauce (cheesy, potent, ideal for a winter day) and the egg with mushrooms and velo ibérico (paper-thin sliced ibérico bacon) as well as the croquetas (very good). Bread is also much less acidic than in France, added bonus. The dessert was a French (naturally) toast with mascarpone ice cream, absolutely to die for. Service and setting is old style, with Lautrec style prints, waiters in uniform and a Maître d' checking every detail, even helping you with your seat and with putting your jacket on. Prices are not cheap (2 entrees, 2 dishes, 2 coffees, a bottle of water, bread and a glass of wine fo 78 euros), but totally justified. I love Paris. I love...
