Can Borbó - Paella & Seafood in Barceloneta — Restaurant in Barcelona

I wouldn’t recommend anyone to eat here. I usually don’t leave bad reviews unless I’ve had a truly bad experience, but this time I have to. We spent €85 in total. We ordered a large seafood platter today, but the shrimp and mussels were not fresh. All the shrimp were completely mushy, some had black spots, and the mussels smelled bad. It cost us €60, and it was definitely not worth the money.

Although the waiter gave us 4 more shrimp after we complained, we didn’t eat them — sometimes you only get one chance. As a restaurant, you should get it right the first time, not only after customers point out the food is not fresh. I ate a lot of sea food in different places only this time I felt very disappointed. We also saw another table had a meal deal menu that was much cheaper than the regular menu we were given. I’m not sure why,maybe because we’re tourists and they wanted to charge us more. This restaurant is totally disaster, very weak servise, waiters are in civil suit, na apron, just stay away from guests. The boss of the restaurat seating at front table with sheesha and play with mobile phone, he doesnt care about nothing, just paying! :( i ordered a chicken paella what was ready in aproximetly 5 minutes after order. Suprize? Not!!! It was hard uncooked rise in potato sauce with a few vegetables :( meat smelled rotten :( when the waiters brought a meal on the table just said: “be carefool is hot” but they forfot to bring a plates :( nonsence! When we found out that chicken smell no good, we stoped to eat and I told the boss that this food is rotten. He can not to say any appologize! Tha food checked also my friend and he smelled same smell. I can recommendet to dont est there! Food disguisting, servise teribble, stuff not tranied! Worst lunch ever!...

¡WORST RESTAURANT EVER! The mussels I ordered were spoiled and tasted foul. When I told the waiter, he told me that "all the Spanish people are eating, only you are complaining" and started disrespecting saying that I was lying and I was not going to get away with not paying. I've never been treated with such RUDENESS before. I felt so bad and powerless while everyone was staring at how the waiter was practically screaming at me that I'm "being a difficult" and that "you women complain for no reason" and that he "would call the police to put me in my place".
