It’s that indifference you get from some places which really annoys me, almost as though they really don’t care that you made an effort to choose their restaurant to spend your money in. The hopes were dashed even further when the paella arrived which to be honest was heavy on the rice and very skimpy on the seafood and sad skinny prawns on top. To add insult to injury the same guy who greeted us slighted my Brazilian companion (who to be honest has excellent English) when he asked for the ‘bill’ only to be stared at with blank indifference until the guy finally said “oh you mean ‘bill’ - what kind of language is that ‘beel’”. At this point I was speechless with shock. This place doesn’t deserve a trip to the beach side of Barcelona for, it lacks atmosphere and warmth.
