This was the biggest culinary disappointment of our week in barcelona. We chose this place as an anniversary dinner and chose the €75 tasting menu. We dined there 12 march.
There was no menu card describing what was to be eaten and when.
First dish was carrot and pumpkin soup, with powdered curry on top. The powder kind of clumped when eaten; nothing spectacular. We didnt finish our serving.
Next was a pumpkin something with salad/greens. The something was soft and formed but squishy. We couldnt finish the serving.
Next was a guinea fowl in a sauce with probably pickled white beet or turnip. The meat was absolutely not warm. The server came by and said it was supposed to be served room temp - and that's fine, but it was not good. The flavor profile was good - just the room-temp meat was unappetizing. Server said she'd mention to the chef.
Next was a hake fish served atop white beans. Not cold, but barely warm. Fish was cooked well, but the beans were in a kind of gooey clear sauce. Bland, and the pairing was odd pairing in flavor profiles. We didn't finish the service. Server said she'd take the feedback to the chef.
Next was bizarre. Pig foot/hoof meat in a, frankly, gelatinous shaped blob. Completely inedible texture wise. Would have been better as a salsa or spread maybe? We didn't eat three bites. Server said she'd take the feedback to the chef. It featured corn and green and yellow sauce
Last - dessert. An ice cream with no flavor and a banana bread toped with a - yes gelatinous maybe caramel "sauce"; the entire of the "sauce" could be picked up by its edge. Like thick jello. But what killed it was a chia cookie added. If any of the chia got onto the bite it destroyed every other flavor. Dessert became chia and thick jello slab. Server said she'd take our feedback to the kitchen.
Service was fine - our server was very rushed dealing with a large group next to us and another couple. She tried hard to keep up. But even water service was delayed until after we had our wine. Still, i tipped her cash because nothing was her fault.
Bill with wine was about €180 - no representative from the kitchen nor management cared to visit our table to talk about our experience. No mention of the anniversary occasion.
Aside from the food, this place being listed in a Michelin guide and delivering substandard results was a huge...

Our visit to Capet restaurant yesterday left us extremely disappointed and unsatisfied. Firstly, the wine list was inaccurate. We ordered a 2016 vintage, but the staff attempted to serve us a 2017 bottle without any notification or without mentioning this fact. The wines were also served too cold, which made the wine tasting complicated.
Communication with the staff was challenging as they barely spoke English. We opted for the five-course tasting menu, which turned out to be underwhelming. The final menu for the five-course tasting was not listed anywhere. Guests are led to believe (as the menu implies) that they can choose from the two appetizers, two main courses, and dessert options. However, this is not the case—the five-course menu is pre-selected by the restaurant, which is not indicated anywhere. Given the language barrier with the staff, guests are left uncertain about what dishes they will actually receive (as the waiters are not able to say the name of the courses in English).
The first two appetizers were mediocre. Our dissatisfaction grew with the main courses. The fish dish lacked seasoning, flavor, and creativity. The sage in the sage purée was undetectable. The Angus beef was especially poor; the braised beef cheeks were overcooked and flavorless. And I was missing the “tender garlic”.My dish was also cold as the staff did not delay serving it when I briefly left the table.
Since I didn't finish my main course, we ordered the pigeon, which was good, but totally cold.
After paying, we tried to give our feedback to the staff, but they showed no interest and ignored us. We then asked to speak to management, and so the waiter brought the chef. Our frustration reached its peak when, after translating just one critical sentence (since the chef, like most of the staff, didn't speak English), the chef dismissed our feedback, laughed, and walked away, stating he wouldn’t deal with us.
This arrogant and dismissive behavior was the final straw, prompting me to write this review. I strongly do not recommend this restaurant and will...
Read moreDo not waste your time or money! This was the absolute worst experience at a restaurant I have ever had. So much that I felt the need to write a 1 star review (which I have never done before).
I had a reservation through google. I ordered a glass of wine, croquetas, tomato bread, and their lobster ravioli. The tomato bread was soggy and the ravioli was the worst dish I have eaten in Barcelona. It was not filled with lobster but a runny (almost soupy) ricotta filling that was fishy. There were two tiny pieces of flat lobster in the soupy bowl that was one bite combined.
After a few bites I told the woman helping me that I didn't like it, she looked at me and said okay. They didn't offer to replace it with something else, they just took it away. Then when I got the bill, it was still on there. I asked the woman if they would remove the dish and she told me it was a good dish and I had to pay. She kept saying it was good and eventually when I said I didn't like it for the third time, she yelled at me in Spanish. It was incredibly embarrassing. I asked for the manager or chef.
When he came, he proceeded to say the dish was incredible, fresh, and made well and if I didn't like it then something was wrong with me. He was arrogant and rude. He said since he made an outstanding dish then I had to pay for it even if I didn't eat it. To put down his own customer is beyond anything I have ever experienced.
I would stay away from this restaurant. It is overpriced and the portions are very small and the food is not good. Even worse is the chef and owner who could care less about his...
