Exe Laietana Palace — Hotel in Barcelona

DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!!

The customer service is friendly but very slow. I accidentally made two transactions for the same time window. I has to send several emails, make several calls, and make multiple visits to the front desk just to get a voucher for the incorrect reservation. This back and forth was over the span of two weeks. I jept hearing that someone will tell a manager and they will reach out. After finally reaching a manager, they kept telling me that the corporate office has to make a code for the voucher but they had no update on a response. Finally, they told me the voucher from corporate would take anout a week but after I was so consistent they were able to just refund my money.

The breakfast here is terrible. The girls here take forever to replace the food. There are very few food options for hot food and I kept finding flies in the fruit. On top of that, upon leaving the hotel on the last day, the manager flags us down before we exit to pay for two breakfasts that weren’t accounted for. Talk about adding insult to injury!

One of the elevators was down the whole time of my visit. The other one was down, which was very inconvenient for my mother who cannot take the stairs.

The rooms are decent size but the beds are very uncomfortable. The AC had been leaking at one point even though it wasn't used much

Oh where do I even begin. When a 4 star hotel can’t guarantee you access to a stable internet connection or a decent breakfast with vegan options or just basic electricity - that too for 700 pounds for 3 nights - does it still qualify as a 4 star hotel ? The only redeeming quality is the location. But at this price point and with such unreliable offerings I would strongly advise that you skip this sham of a 4 star hotel and pick one of the better reviewed 3 star hotel in the area.||Rooms: The rooms have water damage marks and cracks on the walls. The marble on the floor in my room atleast was also cracked in multiple places. This place hasn't been looked and maintained.||Oh and how can I forget - so you enjoy the symphony that is the constant noise of water rushing through pipes in the wall (probably everytime one of your neighbour uses the toilet - morning, late night doesn't matter)? If so, then you are in luck - ignore everything l've said and book this room.||Noteworthy details: The only charging points are hidden under the desk in the room. Great thinking ! Why have them near the bed side table or on top of the desk ??!||The fictional manager who has all the authority to make all the decisions was magically absent on all three days-| and the staff has NOT been empowered to make the right decisions for the customer so consider...
