Terrible and unacceptable service. Second time visiting and, unfortunately, will not be returning as both times the drinks and service inside and at the bar were less than acceptable. Borderline rude barman. We stopped for a quick drink early evening before going to a dinner reservation at a local restaurant nearby. Ordered our drinks, including a glass of white wine. The barmen picked up 2 different white wines and poured a mix of the 2 different wines in 1 glass in front of us. The 1st wine poured came from a transparent clear glass wine bottle with a blue neck label and once this wine bottle finished the barmen picked up a green glass bottle of wine and finished filling the same wine glass with another white wine grape variety. A nasty homemade wine cocktail without having ordered one. The wine bottles are on display in the fridge next to the bar and can be easily seen and identified. The barmen reluctantly changed the drink for a correctly served glass of white wine served with a side of unacceptable attitude. There are much better places with friendlier staff in Poblenou and Barcelona to enjoy a dink and receive...
Read moreIf they only stuck to croquetas (which are actually good) + drinks, this place could have some potential... Unfortunately that's not the case.
Starting with the service, which is never good... Been there a few times (not by choice, but because it is the closest option to the office for everyone to join). The staff seems to be absolutely lost; one of the slowest and least efficient services in BCN.
Although the order is collected for the entire table at the same time, it seems impossible for the cook to release all dishes simultaneously (and we're not talking about a 2-3 min gap, but half an hour), so, by the time someone finished their dish, someone else at the table will be starting theirs.
They sell sea trout for "Norwegian salmon" thinking that they can fool people + a €5 add-on, on top of it, for one of the most disgusting dish ever... Overly salted, a thick custard-like "hollandaise" sauce, dry sea trout with no taste... Norwegian salmon, for real? Isn't it more honest to sell it as trout itself or just nicely prepare some white fish?
The terrace is nice, but don't expect the best service or any...
Read moreOk, so let me start off by saying that the food is delicious. I really loved all of the tapas and croquets. We tried a bunch of them (chorizo, jamón and cheese, provolone etc) and they were very very good. We got some other small plates like the salmon tartar ceviche and the pork buns and I would recommend all of them. The guy also recommended a meat dish that was off menu which we tried. That’s where things started to go downhill. The meat that we got was 60% fat, but we couldn’t see it when it came to the table because it was covered in sauce. Then, after that dish was served to us, it took over 30 min to flag a server down so we can order dessert. We got the dessert, which was also good, but then had to keep going back up to the bar to pay the bill and close the tab. The service was great until we got our last dish, but then we were forgotten about. Overall the croquets and tapas...
