I stopped by Noru Bar a couple of weeks ago, and it quickly became my top recommendation for warming up on a chilly winter evening. Upon entering, I immediately noticed the casual yet inviting atmosphere—think simple wooden tables, open kitchen views, and relaxed lighting that highlights the energetic pace of the staff behind the counter. The seating layout is snug enough to feel cozy but not cramped, allowing you to appreciate the lively, communal vibe that pairs perfectly with steamy comfort food.
Food & Presentation The star of the visit was clearly the ramen: piping-hot bowls filled with rich, aromatic broth and topped with tender slices of pork, flavorful soft-boiled eggs, crisp vegetables, and delicate sprouts. Each component showcased careful preparation—nothing felt over- or undercooked. The depth of flavor in the broth, whether spicy or savory, was impressive for a relatively casual spot. The menu also features a variety of other Japanese-inspired dishes, but the ramen really stole the show when it came to both taste and presentation.
Quality vs. Pricing Considering the generous portion sizes and the high-quality ingredients, the pricing is surprisingly fair. You get that hearty, layered flavor typically found in pricier eateries, but without the sticker shock. If you’re looking to indulge in something comforting and delicious without breaking the bank, Noru Bar delivers on value.
Service & Ambiance Throughout the meal, the staff were not only efficient but genuinely friendly and conversational. They took time to explain menu items when asked, ensuring that each diner felt welcomed and informed. Even on a busy night, they managed to maintain a laid-back attitude and quick turnaround time, which added to the overall charm of the place.
Overall Impression From the soul-warming bowls of ramen to the wonderfully approachable prices and amiable service, Noru Bar stands out as a must-visit spot—especially on those cold evenings when you crave something hearty. Whether you’re a ramen enthusiast or new to Japanese comfort food, you’ll likely walk out feeling both satisfied and pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. I highly recommend...
Read moreNot the cheapest place around but the food is crazy good and crazy creative. My selection was the Curry Laksa ramen with clams and I found it really good, I can still feel the flavour if I go back to that day with my memory. Definitely a place that I'm not afraid to recommend. Bear in mind that ramen + side + drink, at lunch time, is going to cost 20ish EUR.
Last but not least, the dishes are seasonal and the menu is pretty short (it's a good sign, in my opinion), so worth going every now and then to try...
