Wow what a cool place! There was no room for the outdoor tables (set in a tree plaza outside the Museum of Contemporary Art), so we reluctantly went indoors. Way in the back we were delighted to find a rainforest like room, with jungle plants hanging from the ceiling, jungle sounds playing softly, and a full wall size jigsaw puzzle — assembled by the owner— of Heironymous Bosch’s “Garden of Earthly Delights”. Naturally we picked a table next to it so we could study the detailed scenes which we hadn’t been able to view closely in the crowded Prado Museum in Madrid where the original lies. The food was diverse and excellent. We ordered a Mediterranean salad, eggplant and egg pita, lamb meatballs grilled with chimichurri and vegetables, ceviche with crispy toast, and potato Bravas. All were superb. Fresh, well prepared comfort food in a fun setting with friendly staff. Perfecto! We will be back!

Lugar muy bonito y con encanto. Platos originales y calidad precio razonablemente bien.

We found this place near our hotel using a quick internet search and I'm so glad we found it. The decor is somewhat funky with faux plants on the walls in the main dining area in the back. We had mojitos and while they were like no mojitos I've had anywhere else, they were quite good and strong (but not too strong). The food was better than I expected. We started with the Curryflower and I highly recommend. I could have eaten a large plate of that for dinner and been satisfied. I also had the vegan shwarma pita which was delicious. My partners had the Pollo Coco and he liked that too. The service was the best we've had in Barcelona - our server was incredibly friendly and attentive. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended.

I celebrated my birthday with a larger group in the back room next to the kitchen. The jungle sounds and decoration seemed a bit odd at first. But it turned out to be the perfect surrounding for an amazing dinner!

Delicious meals were served alongside some interesting cocktail variations. The melon vodka fizz was loved by the ladies. Beer fans and wine connoisseurs were fully satisfied as well. The variety of food was astounding. Veggie meals but also meat and seafood with lots of greens were delicately made with just the right touch of spices. There was so much going on at the table, so I can't decide what my favourite dish was. The baked potato with sourcream, seafood paella, roasted meatballs, hummus with chili...all of them. Even the desserts were amazing. Nobody went home hungry or sober 😂 and it was a beautiful venue to celebrate! Let yourselves be surprised by all the good vibes and the nice staff. The service was very good and we got everything we've asked for.

The staff was so nice and funny and in the end I was honestly surprised by the great value for money.

If I come to Barcelona again, I will revisit the Dona Rosa for shizzle!

Special thanks to the crazy chef who made...

I recently visited Dona Rosa in Barcelona and had an absolutely wonderful experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome and felt immediately at home. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with soft lighting and comfortable seating.

Now, let me tell you about the food. We started off with the meatballs, and they were absolutely delicious. They were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Next up was the cauliflower, which was so flavorful and tender that it practically melted in our mouths. And the mushroom hummus? Wow. Just wow. It was hands down the best hummus I've ever had.

But the real standout of the meal, in my opinion, were the margaritas. They were perfectly balanced and just the right amount of sweetness. I could have easily had three or four (but I restrained myself).

And, to top it all off, my kid enjoyed their meal just as much as I did. It's not always easy finding a restaurant that caters to both adults and children, but this place did it with ease.

Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal in a cozy atmosphere. From the food to the service, everything was top notch. I give it a...
