El Chiringuito de Casa Bonay — Restaurant in Barcelona

Totally disappointed

We ordered teriyaki chicken wings, which arrived burnt and small. We also ordered the Iberian pork, and for €11 expected something much more substantial than we received.

The place is understaffed. Service was slow and items from our order were forgotten. This isn't necessarily the fault of the waiters, but they were clearly over worked.

Drinks are fine. This is an okay place to go if you are just looking for drinks.

For the price we paid and the location, absolutely not worth the money and I would suggest avoiding. I was tempted to add an extra star as the setting and scenery is nice, but we left disappointed and with nearly empty stomachs. Spend your money elsewhere.

Overall: expensive food, over cooked, small portions, not enough staff, drinks fine,...

We decided to celebrate birthday at Casa Bonay and it was a huge mistake. On the rooftop - horrible service, we reserved the table for 8PM but we got it only at 8:20. The guest should stay and wait once we get the table. After that the service was horrible, no one came to our table and we needed to always ask the waiter many times to order something. After the dinner we decided to go downstairs to the bar and we were waiting for 20 minutes again - the waiter (shaved girl, very rude) decided to give a table to couple who are the djs friends. How can you treat your customers like that?!

I recorded the conversation with this girl and would like to talk with the manager immediately. Casa Bonay, that’s not normal. Will never recommend this...

We had a reservation for dinner starting at 18:30, but the kitchen didn't open until 19:00. Not a big deal except they seemed severely understaffed to deal with the rush when people came. Once they took our order at 19:00, it took about 25 minutes for our food to come and the pork was completely raw so we sent it back to the kitchen. They forgot about my drink order and I got it at the end of the meal. I saw many people going up to the waitress and saying, "we've been waiting a long time for xxx thing, is it coming?" There were two ceiling fans that didn't work... We got one of the few seats under a working one, but in general felt like a lack of attention to detail that I wasn't expecting at Casa Bonay.
