Wanted to try some Indian food in Barcelona and glad we came across this place.
Very lovely aesthetic on the inside and they even Serve the food in those metal plates which was nice.
Portion size itself was fairly decent and I'm glad we ordered just the right amount of food for the group.
The Chicken Dal (chicken dhansak I think they called it) was very unique! First time I've had a dish that was chicken and thal together and it was really nice. First time I've had a dish that was chicken and all together and it was really nice especially with the jeera rice!
Brother ordered the Butter Chicken and it was very flavorful as well.
Loved the Chicken Tikka too!
Lamb Rogan Josh actually came quite salty! Like it was unbelievably saw me so we told the server and they were quick to replace it. Even got us an extra dessert to make up at the end.
Pudina Paratha was also quite nice! Flaky and just the right amount of flavor in there.
Got the Gulab Jamun For dessert and it was the perfect amount of sweetness. I usually feel they end up getting too sugary sweet but this was perfect! They brought us one on the house and now that we had two on the table one of them was notably different from the other. I think it was just that it was extremely hot! Like you actually had to blow on it and it would have burned your mouth if you didn't do that first. Overall...
Read moreOur son is new to Indian cuisine and from that perspective I can understand why he loves this restaurant, especially since they have a good amount of vegetarian and vegan options. But for those who have a passion for Indian cuisine, this restaurant’s main courses fail to deliver in a way that exemplifies it. He took us there as a group of 4. The drinks and appetizers were excellent whereas the main dishes were average, lacking flavor that sets it apart from any number of Indian restaurants. The garlic nan was ok but lacked the desired strength of the garlic taste one hopes to get. The sauces for the appetizers were bland… and the hot/spicy sauce lacked the hotness desired. The chicken tikka masala and chicken saag could have been from any member of restaurants with nothing distinctive to make it stand out. The one common opinion is bland for the main dishes whereas the appetizers and drinks were excellent. The service was excellent and the total bill was around 115 euros which covered 4 drinks, vegetarian appetizer with multiple options, two orders of garlic naan, vegetarian saag and vegetarian tikka masala, chicken saag and chicken...
Read moreThis is maybe the worst Indian food in Barcelona, and that is really saying something! I ordered dal makhani to be on the safe side since that's a pretty standard recipe... What arrived were like two containers of flavorless grainy mush (especially frustrating because I ordered it spicy). It didn't have any of the complex flavors the dish usually has... Which gave me the impression it wasn't actually cooked in the correct order to unlock the flavors of each ingredient... As if instead everything were simply pureed in a blender and microwaved 😅. The tofu korma was even worse... It also tasted like chalky mush and the tofu was totally flavorless and soggy, again giving me the impression that the sequence of preparing the ingredients was ignored and someone just dumped tofu straight from a container into a puree of who-knows-what. Even the samosas tasted off! Like it's not even the right kind of flour or something? Of all the hit-or-miss Indian food I've had in my life this was somehow the worst... I can't believe I spent €40+ on delivery I struggled to choke down...
