I usually have a very good experience at this 365 branch in Sant Antoni. I come here two or three times a week for breakfast since it’s close to where I live, and everything has always been smooth and pleasant—until today.
Normally, I pay by card, but this morning I happened to have coins, so I paid with 3€. I left the coins on the counter—admittedly, that was my mistake. I felt comfortable doing so because I come here often and feel like a regular. The staff were busy preparing my order and handling other tasks, so I didn’t want to interrupt.
After picking up my coffee from the counter, I returned to the register where I had left the 3€, expecting my change of 70 cents (since the total was 2.30€). When I asked, the younger staff member told me to wait for the person who had taken my payment. I understood—they were busy and getting ready for the day—so I patiently waited.
When I followed up, the older of the three staff members told me I had already received the change, which I knew wasn’t the case. I told her politely that I hadn’t, and to be sure, I opened my bag and showed my wallet, which only had 2€ coins—no 70 cents.
At that point, the story changed, and she claimed I hadn’t paid at all. That really frustrated me. I stood my ground and didn’t leave until she eventually gave me the 70 cents.
It’s a pity this happened because I genuinely enjoy having coffee at this place and have always appreciated the service. I hope this was just a one-time...
