GarroferGaudí — Restaurant in Barcelona

After my 2 hour visit to Sant Pau I was in need of something to eat and drink, but being a bit of a foodie and particular about my wine I didn't want to just end up anywhere. Enter Garrofer Gaudi - just across the road and with a cute inviting entrance into a small, cosy but vibrant restaurant where locals were having lunch. Perfect! I was welcomed by Pedro who seated me at a rock star corner table, and then his colleague Mariano explained that their lunch special was 2 courses including a glass of wine (or beer or water) for €15!! My meal was fantastic - fresh ingredients beautifully put together and the house white wine from Penedes was so good I had to have another! The atmosphere is the kind of busy and bustling you want when you eat out, and the service is excellent, friendly and helpful. I will be coming back with my partner...

Service was prompt and friendly (staff recommended for us to sit up stairs as they had the air-conditioning running which was a blessing on a hot day)

It was about time a restaurant opened in the neighborhood, for the neighbors and not just for tourists. The quality of the food is great, the service is attentive and the prices are fair. The owners have restaurants outside of Barcelona and you can tell by the way the prepare the food and tend to you as a customer that they truly care for their service!

I tried the chicken curry, flavorful and spicy. The blueberry cake was so good i didn't even have time to snap...
