PLEASE DON’T COME HERE!!! From the moment I crossed the door, this guy (the manager, who was also on his phone sitting by the bar where the clients are supposed to be) kept rudely staring at me, bad attitude. No one offered me a table, so I came in. It was just me, and I sat at a booth table since nobody assigned me one. Nobody took my order for several minute, then the waiter nicely brought juice and water, from which I didn’t drink because I was replying to an urgent email and thought was a mistake since I didn’t order it. Later, the first guy on the phone, very condescendingly tells the waiter that the juice and water were for another table. Then he approached me, took the menu from my table and impolitely asked me if I spoke English or Spanish. I said both, and he proceeded to aggressively grab my napkin, fork and knife “you can’t sit here, also you have to wait by the entrance” the place was practically empty, not to mention nobody was assigning tables!!!! He raised his voice at me and humiliated me in front of the other costumers. I asked him to please speak more quietly and he kept his tone. Very arrogant guy. Definitely not coming back. Too bad I couldn’t try their food, but this man’s attitude was too negative and aggressive, not to mentions the way he spoke to the waiter was poor...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place, the first impression was good, went with my partner and 15 month old daughter... However... We ordered 2 tacos and a waffle. The food took 45 minutes to arrive. I had finished 2 drinks in that time while waiting for our food. When the food finally arrived the order was wrong. The waitress claimed we ordered burritos not tacos (this would be impossible because we are veggies and the burrito is not veggie). They were not particularly apologetic just saying that they were busy and they will prepare the tacos. They gave us the waffle which was cold at this point. We continued to wait for the tacos but after around 10 mins more of waiting we dediced to leave. I complained again to who I assume was the manager and he finally was apologetic At this point they said the tacos were finally ready. The tacos were strangely also cold even though they had just been prepared. The flavour was good I have to say. When we left they gave us a 50% discount on just the tacos, but unfortunately I won't return due to this experience. We wanted to go for Sunday brunch and then have a nice walk and enjoy the sunshine however we ended up sitting in the restaurant for over an hour waiting for food and then having to go straight home as it was then past baby's nap time. ...
Read moreSo All Day Gringa is a relatively new hip place among the expats and the locals in Barcelona. There are often well dressed people waiting outside to be seated and to have brunch.
Objectively, the food is below the average. You can find much better burger, waffles or pancakes in the city.
The place is cute and small with a little terrace outside and I would probably like it to come occasionally if not Thier service which absolutely unprofessional and simply terrible.
They announce this special RULE I never seen elsewhere where a person can't get a place if the group is not complete. And if I have a drink while waiting for my friend, I would need to get up and wait for another table when my frie d arrives. That's so dumb and ridiculous, isn't that?
Secondly, the stuff is so rude and obnoxious that they literally asking you to free the table after the meal while you are still enjoying a conversation and cava drink. The waiters literally were coming to us every four minutes to chase us away and when we were ordering more drinks saying that they are other people need the tables more.
So this unprofessional and rude behaviour will pay off soon when there will be no queues anymore. Me and my friend in Barcelona will never come back...
