El Berro — Restaurant in Barcelona

El Berro is located in the Eixample area, an area abundant with colorful flags and many restaurants and shops. It’s on the corner, but corners here are slanted....you’ll understand if you’ve been to Barcelona.

It’s a Spanish menu, with hamburgers and some other items, very few vegetarian items. There’s also a menu of the day. I got 3 tapas for myself, not knowing how much food it can come with. I ordered the patatas bravas, which comes with a side of bread/sauce/olive oil, spanish tortilla, which also came with the bread, and manchego cheese. This was a carb heavy meal, even though i didn’t even eat all the bread.

Overall, they were fine...i like the manchego cheese... it’s a bit like Parmesan but softer. Everything else was just potatoes prepared differently. Service was pretty good. It’s kinda funny that people just come in for a drink, single or group,...

There are few things that make a place great. Those are typically quality of food and service. This place has both. Although the menu js simple the food is fresh quick and delicious. The coffee is hot and good. The greatest asset they have is their morning staff. Mario and his team are friendly, accommodating and gracious hosts. You immediately feel welcomed which is not very typical. Give this place a try for a good home cooked...

One of the servers was very very nice to me, and its unfortunate I have to make this review, but the bald man who was working this night was livid from the moment I came in. I don't know if he was mad at me or st something else because I couldn't understand, but he was so hostile. The young servers were 5/5 but that man had the worst attitude I have...
