Isabella's Restaurant — Restaurant in Barcelona

‼️The waiters talked badly about us and we were treated terribly‼️ I really don’t appreciate how we were treated tonight. My boyfriend and I wanted to enjoy a night at Isabella’s and were really disappointed. At first, we were seated at the worst possible table, near the entrance which meant that it was really cold and the lighting was uncomfortable as well, even though there were many other tables available (After questioning he did not even consider/ask about a table outside) Moreover, our waiter for night was rude since the beginning, as he was keen on giving us the table I just mentioned. It seemed that he belittled us. He kept on laughing at us during the whole duration of the dinner. The worst about our experience was that he talked baldy about us in Spanish to many of the other employees. My Spanish is truly sufficient to be able to understand those things. The waiter talked to 3 of the other employees about us, as they laughed and tried to look at us suspiciously. Moreover they were caught in the moment and tried to smile it off, when my boyfriend looked qt them, while they were laughing about us. They looked at us many times too often, which made it even worse and the evening unenjoyable! Furthermore, they charged us for Olives and Bread even though we didn’t order them. I usually don’t care about those things , as I am not picky, nor stingy, but thought I would mention it to underline the bad quality and service at Isabella’s. The food was okay, but definitely overpriced. For 80€ this treatment is ridiculous and an impudence! ‼️The funny thing is that I’ve read similar reviews about Isabella’s more than once. the whole place looks very elegant and cozy, but the service was terrible, we talked to at least three waiters and all of them were very rude. First of all, at the beginning, my boyfriend went to the restroom and the waiter came immediately and asked me “where is he, toilet?” - very inappropriate. Later we ordered food, and I spotted a hair in it, at first the same waiter questioned it and asked my boyfriend “do you see anything?” in a very impolite tone. When he took my food to change it my boyfriend’s food was already cold so the whole experience went downhill. Later we wanted to order a dessert and we got asked 3 times if we are already ready to order, when we were saying no, we need a moment, the waitress rolled her eyes. At the end we went to pay, my boyfriend wanted to talk to them about a situation with a hair, the waiter told us, the dessert is free, but unfortunately in wasn’t, on the receipt it was still there fully in the price, so we needed to point that out for them to actually make it free. Additionally we asked for water that we never got.

This could happen in a kebab place, not a restaurant like that.

As a customer of this restaurant for the past years, I can only say one thing about the current state of it- ABSOLUTE DISASTER. We had a table for 7 people and as we walked in 15 minutes later, we were “welcomed” by the hostess with increasing aggression of us being late. I was told our table was given to other people; however, they could give us a place for quick meal as we were reminded 16964838 times that the kitchen closes at 23:00. We felt we had an experience of being in the middle of the dessert, as of the first 30 minutes noone came to serve us. As we ordered we waited another 20 and DRINKS WERE NEVER SERVED DESPITE our miltiple requests. Finally, we got a bottle of wine and only 3 glasses. I understand we seemed as an united group, but I don’t believe it was to the extend for us to start sharing glasses. After, glasses for beer were given for us to pour the wine. Little to say noone poured the wine for us not even once. If you have been reading this until here, I strongly recommend you to spend your Friday night at McDonalds as you will be served with more respect and delight. RUN FAR AWAY...
