L'Italiano Perso — Restaurant in Barcelona

We made a reservation, they had taken our card for a a reservation and apparently their system cancelled without notifying or confirming us that the reservation had been cancelled.

When we showed up, they told us the reservation was cancelled blaming the reservation system saying that if there wasn’t an email, it was cancelled - if they go to the lengths of pre-authorising a card in case of worrying about a cancellation, you would think it would go both ways. Some work could be done on their communication and to be more upfront to avoid disappointments from customers.

Reading the other reviews, we aren’t the first that this has happened to, so I would suggest...

It’s a really tiny Italian restaurant. So 100% you need to book in advance. Service is made by the cooks, who are both really friendly.

The food was legit, I’ve been to a trip in Italy this summer and honestly it was hard to spot the difference. A the limited selection means that hardly you will miss, plus plenty of cheese everywhere too! For desert we went for the Tiramisu but, warning, you really need to like Nutella (who doesn’t?). Wine selection is limited (1 for each; white and red) but good too.

All in all, a great small Italian if you are craving for some legit pasta...

Nada del otro mundo. Poca variedad y demasiado caro para lo que ofrecen. Nos cuestionaron lo que íbamos a comer y no nos dejaron pedir todo lo que queríamos des de un principio. Cosa que me parece fatal porque es mi bolsillo y yo decido lo que me voy a gastar y lo que me voy a comer.

El local es muy pequeño y encima te espabilan rápido para que te vayas. Tampoco entras a la hora que has reservado y aun así, te ponen prisas para que te vayas.

En cuanto a la comida, la lasaña muy seca, poco tómate, no había bechamel, muy sosa para lo que se supone que tiene que ser una buena lasaña.

La pasta es bastante normal, sin más para el precio que te piden, he comido de mejores. La focaccia he de decir que es de las pocas cosas que se salva.

En cuanto a los postres, el tiramisú no era un tiramisú, era algo inventado que en la carta está catalogado con ese nombre. De sabor muy malo, no llevaba café, la crema estaba insípida y el bizcocho estaba duro y al fondo del vaso, vamos que es de lo ultimo que te comes, cuando lo bueno de un tiramisú es que se fusione la crema del mascarpone con el bizcocho. El helado de pistacho, nada del otro mundo.

Resumidamente, muy mala experiencia, para lo que se supone que tanto nombre tiene y tan bueno es. No le recomendaría a nadie este restaurante. A parte que me sentí muy mal porque me hicieron sentir que comía mucho y que les tenía que pedir...
