Yo, so I hit up this spot called Tangana while I was cruising through Barcelona, and I'm not even playing, this place was straight fire! The vibes were mad chill, but it's the food game that had me shook for real. Low-key, I wasn't expecting to find such bomb eats in this corner of Barcelona, but Tangana came through with that heat. Andrea and Enrico working the floor were absolute legends. No cap, the service was on point from the jump. Andrea was dropping knowledge about the menu, making solid recs, while Enrico kept our glasses filled and the mood lit. They weren't doing that fake nice server thing—they were genuinely stoked to hook us up with the best experience. We started with that mollete de calamares which was basically this calamari sandwich situation that slapped so hard. Then we got the flor de alcachofa (that's artichoke flower for you basics out there), and it was stupid good—like melt-in-your-mouth delicious. But listen, the real MVP was this fricandó croqueta that had me legit contemplating moving to Barcelona so I could eat these daily. It's this traditional Catalan beef stew but made into a croquette? Game changer. And don't sleep on that vegan tortilla either—I'm usually sus about vegan versions of classics, but this joint flipped the script and made me a believer. We washed everything down with some baller Ribera del Duero wine that complemented the food perfectly. That wine was hitting different—smooth yet complex, exactly what we needed. The whole experience was bussin' fr fr. The ambiance, the service, the food—Tangana doesn't miss. It's deadass one of the most authentic dining experiences I've had in Barcelona. If you're in the area and not hitting up this spot, you're basically taking an L. Next time I'm in Barcelona, I'm making a beeline straight back to Tangana....
Read moreWe arrived very early on Valentine’s Day to have some cava, beers and tapas, it was around 6pm. There was not a single table. When we entered the restaurant, we were not greeted and the staff felt very stressed although it was empty. They said they are going to be super full at 8:30pm and that they only offer a small menu until the rush hour begins. The reduced menu is something super common in gastronomy and it didn’t feel bad at all. Although the energy and faces of the staff gave us a very weird feeling, they clearly didn’t want us to be here. The reduced menu looked quite nice to be honest. So we sat at the bar and wanted to enjoy the night and leave before they ll need our spots. After we sat down, suddenly the waiter, a short man came to us and told us in a very rude way: „you either sit left or you sit right but not in the middle“. As we were sitting in the two middle chairs (row of 4 stools) of the bar and used one stool for our bags. Again the restaurant has around 80 seats and we were alone. The message by itself was not the problem but they way we were told to sit left or right, was a shame. We left shocked, and will never come back. Hospitality is a mindset, you should feel energized by making a guest’s stay as pleasurable as possible. Keep that in mind or think of a career change, it’s never...
Read moreI would highly recommend this tapas restaurant in Barcelona that I recently visited. The staff was very kind and hospitable, especially the lady who attended to us. She spoke English fluently, which made it easy for us to communicate and understand the menu. When we realized that the menu was only in Catalan, she patiently explained the dishes and gave us recommendations based on our preferences.
The food was simply amazing! Each dish was well-prepared, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. I particularly enjoyed the steak, which was tender and flavorful.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was also great. It had vibrant ambiance. The decor was simple yet stylish, and the lighting was just right.
Overall, I had an excellent experience at this tapas restaurant. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the food was exceptional. I would definitely recommend it to anyone...
