We had an official dinner with the group of 20 people. We chose this restaurant over Mirabe believing that this traditional catalan cuisine would suit our expectations.

It turned out that when some of our group arrived to the restaurant a bit earlier than the reservation hour, the waiter didn’t let them in. They could just let them waiting in the terrace area instead of making them waiting outside when it was about 5C with cold breeze.

Then other people of the group arrived and disaster happened: they followed the first group upstairs on the 4th floor and one of the waiters who later claimed that he was “el dueño” (the boss) shouted at my group assistant that “you can not walk in just like that. This’s a restaurant, not a spa”!!! She was shocked of how that guy treated her. Yes, we’re Asian but not every Asian works in spa. This’s discrimination and unacceptable. And all of our group had to come down from the 4th floor because the waiter did a mistake, without saying sorry or anything. Plus, there was a blind man in our group who had to climb up and down because the waiter made the big mistake. Shouldn’t you consider to apologize to us who paid almost 4000 euros for this meal????

In conclusion: pricey food, good wine list, poor service and racist manager. Not recommended. There are many restaurants in town where they...

I ate here with friends on the 6th of May. The Restaurant is in a wonderful location, over looking the city. The staff are incredible and very inviting.

The food is of course quite delicious, as expected from an establishment that is more than 100 years old.

I especially enjoyed the starters, the Calamari was done perfectly. The batter was neither too thick nor soggy, and the calamari was cooked perfectly. I absolutely love Buñuelos, and these were done exceptionally well. The outside was crispy, and the inside was a smooth batter with a delicious cod flavour.

The oxtail was also cooked very very well, and my friend enjoyed it thoroughly.

The longline Hake was a bit disappointing, because the sauce was a simple mayonnaise, and I don’t see Hake as a batter and fry kind of fish. It dried up rather uncomfortably during the course of the meal, and was the only thing I didn’t enjoy.

The Crema Catalana was a fantastic close to the meal.

All in all, it was a wonderful meal surrounded by wonderful people. I certainly would...

Oof oh so fancy.

What went for dinner with colleagues and it was quite nice! I really loved the cuttlefish dish I got! I like that all the dishes are small and light. Though, we probably ordered a lot and I was very full after! All these dishes was recommended and selected by the local.. The sea urchin dish was the most interesting dish - to me I didn't taste much of the urchin.. it was very rich and creamy... The tinto verano was the highlight! the eggplant with honey was excellent!

Environment Located on the top of the hill, or so it seems. It was quite the hike up. There is quite some parking available. The seating was great! I loved that it was like a house converted. We sit in the outside but it was enclosed. Very nice homey and garden like terrace seating.

Niceness of the staff Very attentive and nice staff.

Dollar It was on the expensive end I'd say. I didn't pay.. company cover

Yes/No? Sure why not. Not sure i'd recommend someone to go out there way just...
