An absolute 10/10 experience! We found this restaurant on Instagram and made a reservation just three hours before arriving. At first, we were a bit skeptical because we were the only guests when we walked in—but within minutes, the entire place filled up! It seems reservations are highly recommended, and now we know why.
From the moment we stepped inside, the staff was incredibly welcoming. They explained the story behind the restaurant and walked us through the menu with so much passion. Malparit serves Catalan cuisine at the highest level, with a story behind every dish.
We ordered six tapas and two main dishes, and honestly, this was some of the best food we have ever eaten—anywhere! The flavors were outstanding, the drinks were great, and the whole atmosphere was perfect. The octopus was exceptional, and the dessert was just as impressive—every bite was unforgettable.
If you’re in Barcelona, this is a must-visit. We will definitely be coming back and recommending it to everyone. Thank you to the amazing team for an...
Read moreGreat food and sloppy service There are not a lot of places what serve prawn tartar in Spain, and it was good. Steak tartar also nice, and the presentation was beautiful.
But the service… it was so sloppy it was hard to get anything from those waiters. We got seated but no one gave us menus. 10 minutes later we had to wave the hands to get some attention. To get water — another 10 minutes. Starters arrived, drinks served after 30 minutes of wait and again waiving our hands.
Boys waiters are cruising around with their eyes at the ceiling, no one is scanning the room, everyone is day dreaming.
We had 30 minutes before our starters were finished and mains were finally delivered (after we reminded we actually have ordered smth).
Bill took another 15 minutes, even though we mentioned politely we are pressed on time.
With food this good they need a great manager who’ll make the system more organised and will wake these guys up.

Read moreFirst of all, the atmosphere is amazing. The people who go to this place create such a warm and vibrant energy — you immediately feel good just being there. The service was also top-notch. The waiters were incredibly attentive, took the time to explain the menu, and were genuinely kind throughout the evening.
They have a great selection of wines, and every single dish we tried was exceptional. Some of the highlights weren’t even on the menu — a pleasant surprise! We started with the tomato salad, which was fresh and full of flavor. Then we had the tuna tartare with tuétano (bone marrow) — hands down the best dish of the night. Absolutely delightful.
We also tried the viera (scallops), which were very tasty, along with the oyster, the hilda, and the braised lettuce. I have to say, the lettuce was a standout — such a simple dish, but the light, flavorful sauce made it incredibly enjoyable.
All in all, we had a fantastic evening and cannot wait to go back....
