The highlight is definitely the food: the pizza was very tasty and not heavy on the digestion, but... We asked for drinks, starters and pizzas together, they brought the started after a while without drinks and without plates to share it even though the guy who served us said "I'll bring the plate in a sec". They have in the menu 3 pizzas called: Masaniello, Masaniello 2.0 and Mafaniello; I asked for a Mafaniello, even putting my finger on the menu saying "I want this!", and I got a Masaniello, which is another pizza. Maybe, the staff we found that day was too distracted as they committed many errors... Or, maybe, it would be better to not have 3 pizzas with names that are so similar... The price is more or less at the same level of pizzerias that are on the same quality level, more or less, but the experience wasn't great...
I hoped that at least they would offer a shot to say sort of "Sorry if we didn't provide the best service" (we made clear our complaints), but that didn't happen. If the pizza wasn't that good, I'd give 1 star, the service is important as much as the food; with a decent but kind service I would not mind, but they weren't decent nor kind, they seemed bored about their job.
Not sure if I would like to give them another chance, considering how many good options we have...
Read more4.5★ for the pizza, 2.5★ for the dessert. We had the Masaniello pizza with bresaola and burrata — very tasty, well-balanced, and perfectly cooked, although served a bit cold.
As for dessert, my friend wanted to try the “pistachio tiramisù”… which, to be clear, had close to zero elements of the original. (I say this as someone originally from what’s considered the birthplace of tiramisù, though I’ve lived in BCN for over 20yrs.)
No coffee, no ladyfingers (replaced by some buttery, crispy cookie), probably no mascarpone, likely no eggs either. Just a whipped cream–pistachio combo topped with pure pistachio paste. Overly sweet — not saying it was bad, but let’s call it what it is: pistachio creamy cake, not tiramisù.
We also had a bresaola–rocket–parmesan salad, which was fine.
Overall: not a bad experience, extremely loud atmosphere, friendly staff, prices a bit on...
Read moreSharp, solid piece of metal in my takeaway pizza, that I did not find until I was chewing on it and bit on something hard.
I immediately emailed pictures to the pizza restaurant and followed up with a phone call straight away.
The man I spoke with on the phone was polite and directed me to contact Glovo for a refund (as pizza was ordered through the Glovo app). My concern was other pizzas with the same issue ahead of a refund. He did offer to replace the pizza to which I declined and he did apologise too.
9 days later and I did not receive an email response regarding the pictures, from the restaurant which is disappointing. It suggests they did not feel the need the address such a serious issue.
I did get my money...
