This restaurant is one we pass by almost every day since we live nearby. Every time there seem to be quite a few customers inside, and my kids are always drawn to the screen at the entrance. Personally, I’m not very interested in these kinds of “high-tech”restaurants, but the kids were curious, so we booked a table a week in advance. If you bring children, they’ll be entertained by the various games on the table screen and have a great time. I even joined them for a few rounds of dominoes. As for the food itself, I had already set my expectations before coming. In the past, I’ve been to novelty- or tech-focused restaurants in other countries, and the food is usually pre-made and quite disappointing. Here, the food turned out slightly better than I expected.
(My photos turned out rather dark because of dim lighting inside. ) The chicken wings are not recommended, as they didn’t seem to be seasoned well. The taco filling was tasty, but there wasn’t enough cheese. The octopus was more delicious and tender than I thought it would be; only the last part was a bit tough to chew, but overall, the texture was fine. The beef was good — well-flavored and very tender. My husband enjoyed them , though I found some pieces a little too fatty. My child liked her calamari set meal, and I thought it was decent but nothing special. The pasta in the other kid’s meal, however, wasn’t great — too bland, and the minced meat sauce was bit cold. For dessert, the kids enjoyed the chocolate lava cake.
Honestly, the food may not offer great value for money, but the service was good. The waiters were quick, explained the table’s electronic features in detail, and spoke English without any problem.
For the kids, it was a fun and interesting experience,that’s...
Read moreI was intrigued by this restaurant and all the good reviews. Kudos for being pet-friendly (I didn't take my dog but saw three families with their furry friends inside, and they also have dog food and water at the entrance). It was a bit crowded, so have patience because this means service is a bit slow. A waiter comes to explain how things work, basically you have an interactive table where you can find the menu and order right there. Once you do that you can play alone, with your table companions or even with other people in the restaurant. Apart from that there's not much to do. My table had a blip and needed to be reset, so I sat there for a few minutes waiting... There are two USB chargers on the wall by each table, but ours were off so we couldn't use them. Then at the end we were trying to pay through the table but couldn't do it due to a system error, so the waiter had to bring the check and POS anyway. In my opinion it's a nice one-time experience; I felt that it's just a way to keep you busy while the food arrives, and once you have it you can't play anymore because the plates are on the table. The spicy wings were not spicy, food was OK but just a...
Read moreIf you're considering a visit to Nua Smart Restaurant, it might be worth reevaluating your dining options. While the interiors are pleasant and offer a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere, the food leaves much to be desired.
Despite the inviting ambiance, the culinary experience was disappointing. The dishes lacked the flavor and creativity one would expect, falling short of making a memorable impression. It's clear that while the decor is commendable, the kitchen needs significant improvement to match the potential of the setting.
Unfortunately, based on the current dining experience, I wouldn't recommend a return visit solely for the food. Nua Smart Restaurant has the ambiance right, but the quality and taste of the cuisine need considerable work to make it a worthwhile...
