NORI SUSHI Poble-Sec — Restaurant in Barcelona

Good place, but rolls have so much sauce and are mostly flambeed, that everything sort of tastes the same. I can't tell if the fish is really good.

Food 4/5: Our starter was beef with rice, the meat was delicious, and the rice was ok as a side dish. For mains, we ordered some rolls and a nigiri. The Vieira roll was the only one that stood out. I would order this again! We also ordered Salmon Nigiri, the Special Tuna and Salmon Hot roll, I couldn't really taste much more than the sauces and flambee taste. -- I want to go back to try some of the more traditional options.

Service 3/5: Very kind and explained about the menu, but missed the mark on some occasions. The worst one was the starter. It had two components: beef and rice. The waitress left the beef and left, we tried to call their attention to understand if the rice was going to come.. They never looked at us. Since it took some time, we assumed we read the menu wrongly, and there was no rice and started eating. When we finally managed to catch someone's attention, the rice arrived. It's bad enough that you don't deliver the dish all at once, but it's especially bad if you do it without communicating.

Nous étions de passage dans le quartier, et avons trouvé ce restaurant dont les avis nous ont confortés à y aller. Nous n'avions pas de réservation, et étions arrivés sur l'heure du dernier service du midi (14h30). Malgré cela, nous avons pu avoir une table et avons été bien accueillis. Il est quand même préférable de réserver à l'avance, car les places partent vite.

La commande fut rapidement passée (il existe un menu en anglais et un en espagnol), nous avons opté pour la box de 38 sushi à 39.90€, assez pour deux personnes. Le temps d'attente nous laisse penser qu'ils ne sont pas préparés à l'avance, ce qui est un bon point. L'ambiance dans le restaurant est très agréable, plutôt intimiste, avec une jolie décoration et des musiques agréables à écouter, on se sent parfaitement à l'aise. À l'arrivée du plateau, la présentation était soignée, et le serveur toujours sympathique.

À la dégustation, la température des sushi était parfaite, le riz parfaitement cuit et chaque sushi était savoureux, de même que les sashimi ! Ce qui ne laisse aucun doute sur la fraîcheur du poisson ! Dans de nombreux restaurants servant des sushi, il y a plus de riz que de garniture et de poisson, ce qui n'est pas du tout le cas ici ! Les maki sont très bien garnis, la tranche de poisson sur les sushi est généreuse et la taille des sashimi est top. C'était un régal, et le rapport qualité-prix est imbattable ! En dessert, les glaces matcha et yuzu étaient également excellentes !

En somme, Nori Sushi est un très bon restaurant, vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés et vous recommandons fortement de tester leurs sushi ! Nous reviendrons très volontiers lors de notre prochain passage à Barcelone, et nous en profiterons pour tester les cocktails qui ont l'air d'être une autre spécialité de...

The service was terrible. They were rude and forgot one of our dishes. Biggest issue was that they forced us to leave the table when we were still having drinks. They began harassing us to leave at 22.00 when we had been sitting and eating for 1,5h and we had still a lot of wine left. Felt very uneasy for their bad behavior. They also told another customer that we were on their “table” so the customer began harassing us as well. We think it’s completely normal to eat for 1,5h, we did not even take dessert, they were offering the dessert menu. I would understand if we would have taken super long time...
