Pannus Provença — Restaurant in Barcelona

Initially went in as I saw something on offer outside which turned out to be something I couldn't est. Afterwards did regret going in.

I read reviews about bad attitude of staff and I would have to agree I did not feel welcome or comfortable... Communication was awkward as they spoke little English and menu was in Spanish so even ordering two cups of tea was a challenge in itself. Found a seat at a table. Waited for the tea and when I went to pick it up i was presented with two cups of boiling water and two tea bags...

I mean this was supposed to be special tea which you expect to be infused and prepared... I've had speciality tea or herbal tea at other places and they always prepare it and give it in a tea pot or cup atleast.

So had to dangle the tea bag and press it to get the flavours. Colour was very weak. Taste wise it was ok but nothing really came through as memorable...

The price for self preparation tea was almost extortionate...

WORST customer service experience in Barca! If you are a tourist and do not speak Spanish, don’t go near this coffee shop!! The customer service is beyond awful with staff members outright refusing to speak in English on purpose. The waitress who served us was extremely rude from the start, got our order wrong and refused to accept fault nor remedy it when questioned. She was passive aggressive and argued with us in Spanish, knowing we only spoke English/French, and claimed not to understand English/French, yet continued to answer our questions (in English/French) in Spanish. People like her should not be working in hospitality, particularly outside a tourist hotspot like Sagrada Familia and faking not understanding English. Learn how to treat people with kindness and respect. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY NOR TIME- this place...

READ BEFORE BUYING: Starting off with service, lady was not friendly at all. Not sure if it's because we're American or Mexican but when we asked if they could clean a table for us, the employee didn't look too happy. And when I thanked her for cleaning it she ignored me and just walked away. When they say "looks can be deceiving" this is the epitome of that. The look of the food and items is what hooked us in and I regretted not reading the other reviews, beforehand. The food is barely okay, not great. My Focaccia Bacon was still cold even after they "warmed" it up. My wife's Focaccia Vegetal was flavorless and also cold. And what's worse is that it's not cheap. Not only would I not recommend this place but I would never come here again. Save your money and get yourself a decent...
