Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Barcelona

Worst experience ever, never got my pizza that I ordered. After a long day, i go to order for take away a pizza. I ended up waiting for one hour, while other clients were coming in and leaving with their pizzad. So after 45 minutes I ask about my pizza, the hirls at the casa sayd one moment and -having realised that they forgot- she just keep on doing other stuff, helping other clients while I stand there with no explanation of where my pizza is. I tell her again where the pizza is and she brings me a guy to tell me "sorry we have a problem, your pizza is in the oven, but not done yet" . How then all the rest keep on taking their orders but me? He just looked at me.. I took my money back and left. They pride to be such a customer service restaurant, i highly doubt it. Never before had experienced something like that while waiting for take away in the same restaurant. Just...

Wanted to test an american style pizza chain restaurant. Ordered a hawaii pizza with original crust. Compared to other pizzerias I've been to, Papa John's makes big pizzas! That's about where the positives end though.

It's not bad pizza, but it doesn't really taste like anything. There's a lot of cheese and a lot of dough, which makes the pizza fulfilling, but the fillings themselves weren't tasty. I wished the pizza had had crunch to its crust, but it was soft.

They also served a garlic dip along the pizza, which is a great idea! Only it tasted weird. My spouse was sure it tasted something like garlic-flavored lotion. :D

We ordered pizza to take away for an office event so I got to see and try several variations. I tried the vegetarian options which I think was pizza Margherita and another one with some green sauce on. But honestly I don't understand how this brand can be popular. Low quality and hardly any toppings on the pizzas, the dough is horrible, heavy, with zero fermentation, even sort of sweet, felt like just some flower and water mixed and straight into the oven. I have tried bad pizzas before, but this was quite simply the worst ever. It is not so hard to make a good pizza, so all the money you spend on marketing would be better spent on quality ingredients and...
