All the negative reviews are not fair for this place. No business should get deductions from stars for price. Especially a place attached to a 5 star hotel, don't come if you can't afford it, their prices are online so its your choice. This place is 100% gluten free and safe for celiac disease people like me. If you're not used to gluten free I suppose their might be slightly better pastries elsewhere. But overall some of the best gluten free I had. Non celiac people should be mindful of this as the ingredients are different when leaving reviews. Get a cup of nicely prepared coffee that tastes like actual coffee (the cortado is top class) in this library-ambiented café in Avinguda Diagonal, right besides the Masía and Camp Nou. Shelves full of books and different tables and seats, including a small sofa, give personality to this clean and chill environment. A space for a break, to kill some time or to read a book; it offers also a good variety of beautiful and delicious cakes as well as more traditional pastries like croissants. Not what I expected. I expected a hipster type café and found myself in a five star hotel.

The service was absolutely five-star. Attentive but also discreet waiters.

I had hoped to have a morning pastry as it was around 9:30 am, but was told there were no pastries until 10:30 am, A fact that I find shocking in a five star hotel that must surely have served customers at least croissants for breakfast!

As it was Halloween, I ended up with a jack-o’-lantern cookie. Which was fine but nothing special.
