I have an issue with restaurants that serve special sets for groups. Most of the time, they serve less quantity of a very limited set of options... and for a higher price. That should be easy to justify: it's not the same to serve 5 tables of 4 or 1 table of 20 because you need all the 20 people to be served at the same time, so the restaurant needs more personnel, etc. The issue that I have is that, most of the time, it's just the same service and the same food (or less, as I said) for more money. My wife's family is huge. So whenever they wanna gather, they need a restaurant that can accept such a big group (20, 30, sometimes 40 guests) and the price usually immediately goes up... 😤 Last time we had lunch together, we went to a Galician restaurant, Can Lampazas, and the fist thing I must say is that the price was fair and similar to what we would have paid for a small party 👍 (about €43 each for a full meal + water, wine, shots and coffee) We got to share octopus, galician empanada, croquetas, squid and Padrón pepper as starters and then I had a rib steak that was very good and perfectly cooked. Overall, there was a lot of food and everything was good, although we had to add salt to pretty much everything. The desserts were quite big too, but less good than the rest. The staff was very nice and efficient but... they treated us as if we had been sitting at different tables. Therefore we didn't eat all at the same time, which I know is a big challenge with large parties. The venue is nice, but there's nothing special about it (unless you want some typical Spanish restaurant decoration). Overall a great experience. I am gratefully surprised. 😊

Hemos ido varias veces a este restaurante porque está cerca de donde vivimos y porque nos gusta la cocina gallega. Pues ya no volveremos más. Nos han pasado varias cosas con la comida allí que son graves y en un restaurante de esos precios y tipo de clientela desde luego son imperdonables. En una ocasión pedí sardinas a la brasa. Al traerlas, estaban EN MAL ESTADO todas, la carne por dentro desecha y en mal estado. Lo comenté al camarero y me dijo que le extrañaba mucho, que ,si quería ,me traería otro plato de sardinas. No quise arriesgar y le pedí cambio de plato: que me trajera rape. Cuando vino el plato ya me extrañó un poco el aspecto del supuesto “rape”,pero al probarlo no me cupo duda: aquel pescado NO ERA RAPE. Ya no dije nada, puesto que íbamos acompañados de familia y no quise darles la comida. Por darles otra oportunidad, fuimos anteayer de nuevo, ya que mi marido quería comer caldo gallego, y lo que nos pasó fue la gota que colmó el vaso: 1)En mi ensaladilla rusa con pulpo había un alambre de estropajo nanas… 2) Después de comer los primeros trozos de pan de la cesta de pan… vimos que los trozos de abajo estaban con grandes placas de moho verde, de unos 3cm en total invadiendo toda la miga,… 3) las croquetas de jamón sabían a picadas… no estaban en buen estado

Llamamos al camarero, le explicamos los tres hechos y como única explicación dijo sobre el alambre:” parece que es del estropajo”… Al cabo del rato vino el maitre o encargado( no lo sé porque no se presentó) y nos preguntó que qué había pasado. Le explicamos todo y ante nuestra sorpresa dijo que las croquetas eran de jamón y sabían así (?!?), y que el pan lo hacen en el restaurante y que es casero, por lo tanto le extraña que tuviera moho,… Le insté para que lo creyera que fuera a ver los pelos de moho que tenían los trozos de pan que nos habían servido. Impresionantes. DECEPCIONANTE SERVICIO Y TRATO: no solo no dio credibilidad a nuestra palabra, no fue a comprobar nuestras afirmaciones con los productos, sino que EN NINGÚN MOMENTO NADIE NOS PIDIÓ DISCULPAS POR LO SUCEDIDO!! Quiero añadir que mi hija de 5 años que comió bastante pan antes de ver lo que vimos, y croquetas, ha estado con problemas de estómago e intestino 2días. IMPRESENTABLE TRATO, PÉSIMA CALIDAD DE LOS ALIMENTOS Y SERVICIO. NI VOLVEREMOS NI LO...
