MATNA — Restaurant in Barcelona

MAT NA caught my eye the moment I saw it! Korean food is definitely one of my favorite types of food so I just knew I had to try this place. I came here and ate in for lunch one day and got take out for lunch the next day. The bulgogi bowl was so fresh, so flavorful, I really felt so comforted by this meal. It’s perfectly portioned so that you are satisfied without being too full.

The next day I got the sweet & hot chicken for takeout with a side of rice. At first I didn’t know how to feel about the chicken but I came to the conclusion that the temperature was too hot! After I let the chicken cool down a bit it tasted so much better. Personally I think it pairs amazingly with rice. This dish doesn’t come with fries like their other chicken dishes do, I believe it’s because this is the only one that doesn’t have the bone in. I could’ve gotten fries on the side but I opted for rice and I’m so glad I did.

Aside from the food being genuinely delicious and tasting authentic, the two employees (who I’m assuming are mother and son) were so sweet and make you feel right at home. Excelente trato, la chica que me atendió fue muy amable y atenta; El sitio es acogedor y muy muy bonito. La comida estaba absolutamente deliciosa, y la relación calidad-precio es inmejorable. Lo recomiendo totalmente.

Excellent treatment by the staff, the girl that attended me was absolutely marvelous and very nice. The place is very very pretty and very cozy.

The food was wonderful and tasty and very very affordable. The quality of the food was amazing. I totally recommend this place. Wonderful experience. The staff (well, the girl that attended me) can speak Spanish, English and Korean so no problem for travellers.

Pd: Como el sitio es un poco pequeño, recomiendo reservar antes. Aunque yo fui sin avisar y pude coger mesa.☺️☺️

I liked the food but not the service . They arranged me to a dark spot in the corridor that close to the bathroom when there was only one table of 2 guests eating there. When I couldn’t finish my food they gave me 2 incredibly small boxes of bad quality (type 2 plastic) for me to put the food into it by myself…… and the elder lady was just staring at me “serving “ myself, only moved when I asked for a napkin to wipe my chopsticks bc I didn’t want the sauce from the fried chicken to contaminate the rice roll. It’s so unprofessional.

And they charge 50 cents for 2 boxes that are so small like palms (no exaggeration), 20 cents for a paper bag from glovo as they don’t have any of their own.

I still gave 3 stars bc the chicken was good, it’s a shame that their service didn’t live to...
