We had high hopes for this place based in the reviews but unfortunately it was a real let down. We ordered the guacamole and it was good but nothing special. It didn't come with salsa so that was a little disappointing. I did ask for some salsa and they brought out a chipotle type picante sauce that was really good. Not super spicy but did have a nice kick. My wife ordered the chicken tacos and they were good, a solid B. It was stewed chicken without a ton of flavor but it was good. My son got the Tacos Al Pastor. They were good too. I ordered the shrimp and it was horrible. It had a heavy seafood flavor and I worried maybe they were not good. It came unpeeled, with the heads on and covered in a chipotle sauce. It was super messy just trying to get them peeled. I ate two and thought I was going to be ill so I just left the rest. Mentioned it to the server that they were not good and she didn't seem to care. I would not recommend this restaurant. As a point of clarification, I understand that shrimp can come with the head on and that doesn't really bother me though I would have liked to have known that. The problem I had with my dish which was just part of the reason for a low score was that it tasted off. A lot of times a heavy seafood flavor, especially on shrimp, comes from mishandling seafood and can be a slight taint. Shrimp is my go to item at seafood restaurants so I am very familiar and comfortable with it. In this case, I was worried about the safety. The fact that the shrimp were slathered in a heavy sauce made it very difficult to even eat this dish because your hands were so covered in sauce just trying to get the head off and the body peeled. The other part of the low score and probably the part that carried equal or more weight was I mentioned I did not like my dish to the two different people who came to our table and neither made any attempt to ask why or even see if there was something they could do. I owned 23 restaurants in 6 states so I fully understand issues happen with food but when the staff doesn't care enough to ask why I didn't like my food or what they can do to rectify the situation that is a failure in my opinion. Had I just been grading this restaurant on the other items I would have given it a 4/5 but this killed my whole experience and therefore I gave an honest...
Read moreWent for a menu del día. There was some really bad combinations going on. The starter of totopos was good, no complaints. But for the main I got tacos and they were awful. Butifarra and caromolised onion!?!? In a taco!?!? Gross! Absolutely awful. I initially asked about a different dish, chicken with honey and mustard, but the waiter said it came with rice which sounded a strange combination. When someone else ordered it I saw it actually came with fries instead, which I would have preferred to the awful tacos. The flan tasted really strongly of egg, also gross. I also asked for the strudel, they said they had run out, but I swear the table behind us got the strudel despite arriving and ordering after us. I'd been here once before a couple years ago, and don't remember being impressed...
Read moreI came here with a group of 21 people last weekend, and it went so well! There were a lot of us speaking lots of different languages, but we all received food promptly after entering! The food was absolutely delicious! This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Barcelona, they were so accommodating and everybody was really happy With the food and the service! For this large of a group, we had a set menu for €35 per person, it included four plates to share for every four people, a Segundo, a dessert, and a beer or wine. Great deal for lots of people and...
