REX CAFÉ — Restaurant in Barcelona

Rex café is a gem in the neighbourhood and might as well say Barcelona. This café not only has a particularly taken care off, special look with extreme attention to detail in their atmosphere, decoration, food presentation and very important: cleanliness!

• The specialty coffee is well treated and delicious. The owner shares the information of the offer available with you to know more of the product. • I ordered the poached eggs brunch adapted to my gluten free needs with more salad and fruit instead of bread. Delicious sight and taste. • The chai latte might be the best I’ve had in years, to the point in heat, perfectly spiced and foamed milk. The other infusions are great too. • Fresh, tasty well balanced cold press juices 👌🏾

What can I say, this is a place where regulars are appreciated and as much as the world pushes for a fast paced life, at Rex café one can surely be reminded that the present time in any shape and form is important, as much as to be curious and pay attention to detail…. Or just...

Im sorry but you have to accept that you need additional staff, at least on the weekends. We’ve been waiting for the menu for 20-25 min, then another 15 minutes for the guy to take a note, and another 25 minutes to be served. What I found funny was that people that he’s taken the note after us were served faster than us.. or people who were coming in between were also served almost immediately. This is unacceptable, you’ve to at least follow the sequence of orders and first serve to the ones who have been endlessly waiting for almost everything. The food was okay but they forgot the second dish.. I’m sorry if it was your busiest/stressful day but as a customer I don’t find the service good enough to repeat. I went there on the weekend (Saturday). The vibe of the place is nice and cozy , the food is good. We had a cappuccino, a mix of an orange apple fresh juice ( oranges were almost finished 😞) , an infusion tea and a Sandwich vegano. There isn't much place to sit inside so it's better to reserve seats beforehand. We didn't reserve the first time and there was no place available to sit.
