Sandwich Club Barcelona — Restaurant in Barcelona

We had been looking forward to visiting during our trip to Barcelona and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.

We arrived around noon on a Friday and there was a photo shoot set up right in the front of the restaurant. We were able to walk through it and were told to sit at a nearby table for them to help us there. We were then asked about 2 minutes later to move to not be in the way of the photoshoot. During our entire visit there were constant camera flashes. After we ordered our sandwich we realized that this was not a pleasant atmosphere to eat in and asked for the sandwich to go. Despite the restaurant having one other table inside, we waited about 15 minutes for our food, it was clear to us that the priority was the photoshoot and not the actual customers in the restaurant.

Ultimately we left feeling incredibly disappointed in the service and underwhelmed by the food. The sandwich was decent, but nothing special. We would have appreciated it if the staff had communicated the photoshoot...

The place itself looks really nice and the staff was friendly. But the food/coffee was disappointing. I ordered a flat white which I repeated 2x as the waiter said coffee with milk. He even came back to double check and repeated flat white with oat milk but in the end I got a coffee with milk (also on the bill). Not a big deal in the end but it was not correct. For food I had a eggs Benedict with bacon and avocado but the bacon was missing unfortunately. I also had the feeling that the potatoes/bravas still had lots of sand on the skin. My boyfriend had the pastrami sandwich which was okay. It would have been nice if the cheese would be a bit melted. But the taste was fine. Overall we were a bit disappointed food wise. Quite possibly the strangest restaurant service I have ever experienced. We initially sat down and no one took our order for 30 minutes, staff did not approach us at all or show any interest. Then, two portions of Eggs Benedict come out for us which we turned away (as we did not order them). After finally ordering, only half of what we ordered actually arrived, with random drinks also arriving that we did not order (we eventually just started saying yes to the drinks that we did not order, as we weren't certain we would even get what we ordered). It was actually so hilarious that I recommend people to come here for the experience!
