Syra Coffee | Gràcia — Restaurant in Barcelona

I am really disappointed today as I have been going here since I moved to Barcelona. There seems to be some new gentleman working here with glasses and dark curly hair who is extremely rude and does not reflect the manner of Syra as I have experienced through other baristas. I ordered two coffees and wanted two banana breads. There was a loaf of banana bread and two separate slices which were both the first pieces of the loaf. They looked dry and there were flies sitting on them. I asked him to give me two pieces from the loaf and he said he could not do that, I had to take the two already cut - when I told him they looked old and there were flies on it he said that ‘They were all made today from a fresh batch’ (this was not true as how can the loaf have two front pieces, the back piece remained on the loaf) and he went on to say ‘the fly has probably been on everything.’ I went here just for the banana bread and took a few friends after I had been raving about it to them, they were able to witness his poor behaviour first hand. Coffee is good ( i think the 2nd best in Barcelona) and good are the pastries (a bit pricey though). Unfortunately I was in the one in Sant Joan and it is not acceptable to have such a slow and disorganized staff. Two people working there taking literally more than 6 minutes to make 1 coffee. Including the line it took me 20 minutes overall for 1 coffee as the service was incredibly slow and I only had 3 people ahead. Please learn how to be more organized and efficient to manage the workload properly. Coffee must be something quick and not taking clients time for internal disorganization is super important for a place like that. Our visit was delightful! The service was excelent as was the coffee we ordered. We've got cold brew which was from Guatemala coffee and very tasty and refreshing. And flat white on ice which was good as well. We have also ordered lemon cake which was exceptionally good. Three were only two things I did not appreciate: the fact that everything is in take away cups and bags and that the café was closing an hour earlier than their opening hours here on Google state.
