Terrible service. Passing by the shop, a lady with brochures invited us in. We asked if we could have coffee and she confidently replied that we could drink whatever we wanted. We sat down and when the waiter came, a tall, middle-aged bald “gentleman”, we told him we wanted coffees and he seemed to not like our order as if we were forced to eat. We asked which coffees were served iced and he told us that there was only the Frappuccino. We asked if he could bring us 2 double espressos and 2 glasses with ice, a bottle of water because our minor daughter was with us, and a Frappuccino.
The, let's say, waiter brought our order but instead of a Frappuccino he brought a cappuccino. I understand that he may not have heard correctly, it's not unreasonable, but his behavior from then on was neither the behavior of a waiter nor even of a human being.
I told him that we ordered Frappuccino, he looked at me and left ignoring me, ostentatiously and arrogantly. After 10-15 minutes I called him and told him again that I did not order cappuccino and I would like him to bring me what I ordered. He told me that they do not have Frappuccino. I ask him again, do you not have Frappuccino? and he aggressively comes towards me and grabs the cappuccino from my hands and leaves. We stayed there for another 10 minutes and then we left because our daughter was scared by his aggressive behavior. During this time he did not bring me anything to drink. Finally I got a coffee somewhere at another shop to drink. In my country, waiters, whether it's their fault or the customer's, apologize, take back the wrong coffee, and bring a new one. But apparently this guy considers himself infallible, apparently he didn't learn basic good manners from his family, he's disappointed that he's 60 years old and still a waiter (no progress), and he took all his anger out on me. Shame on him, I would say.
The toilets were dirty, one of the basins was overflowing. I can’t say about the taste of...
Read moreMy recent visit to Tapas Les Corts in Barcelona was profoundly disappointing, a stark contrast to the vibrant culinary scene this city is known for. The dishes served were a far cry from the rich and flavorful tapas one might expect.
The Egg Tortilla, a simple yet iconic Spanish dish, was underseasoned and overbaked, lacking any of the tenderness and flavor that make it a beloved staple. The Patatas Bravas were equally disheartening, served not as the traditional crispy potatoes with a spicy tomato sauce, but rather as plain potato chips with a lackluster dip. This rendition was a misrepresentation of one of Spain's culinary treasures.
Even more problematic were the Tuna Tostadas and the seafood soup, both of which were overwhelmingly salty to the extent of being inedible. We were compelled to send these dishes back, an action that should never occur when dining out, especially in a city celebrated for its gastronomy.
The physical state of the restaurant did not help salvage our evening; the tables were sticky, which immediately set a negative tone. Service was slow and seemed indifferent to our less-than-satisfactory dining experience, further diminishing what little enjoyment we might have salvaged from the evening.
In conclusion, Tapas Les Corts was a letdown, failing to deliver the delightful tapas experience that Barcelona is renowned for. I hope that this restaurant can address these significant issues, but until then, I would recommend visitors steer clear and seek out the many other exemplary dining options that Barcelona...
Read moreQuite a great option in the middle of Barcelona to grab something to drink and pair that with some tasty tapas.
Location and Ambience: (4/5) This is easy to spot as it is quite close to the large signal. The ambience is also quite interesting. Has a mixture of different interior elements. Perhaps the best part is that it is super large which makes finding a table easier. However can also seem a little empty if you come at an odd hour. But I liked the lighting as it was bright and they did have some football running on the screen.
Food and Drink: (4/5) The food overall was quite good and when not spicy enough the staff were kind enough to get some good spicy sauce. I found that the flavour were nice but also a bit mild for my liking. This could be due to the number of tourists that visit. This is just something to be mindful of. The portion sizes are great as are the options to pick from. So I am sure you will find something great here.
Service: (5/5) I really enjoyed the service here. The staff are fabulous and very helpful. And are always smiling. So all in all the service makes this place really good.
Summary: (4/5) A good option to try out if you are in the middle of town and looking for a good place to try out some tapas and enjoy a...
