I went here based on the reviews from google. I wish I hadn’t. Very very very slow service. Staff quite abrupt. Sat for about 15 minutes. A few staff looked at us but didn’t come over. Eventually we did order. I was with my family and there were 4 of us. Quite an easy order. We had 3 beers 1 lemonade. 4 warm ( stated in their menu) sandwiches a side of fries and a side of Patatas bravas. The fries arrived 10 mins later. We ate them before our warm!!!! sandwiches arrived another 10 mins later all cold. We didn’t receive our patatas bravas. I asked a staff member and he said he would get them. We had finished our meals and still no patatas bravas. The girl who served us then asked if we got them and I said no. I started I didn’t want them any longer. The same girl came back to our table and threw a menu on our table and shouted dessert. Worst place I’ve eaten in Barcelona. I can’t understand where the good reviews are coming...
Read moreHaving been looking forward to a traditional tapas in Spain I unfortunately had the misfortune to choose this place on my first day. I would have thought all spanish tapas restaurants would have been both authentic and traditional....no no no, how wrong and naive could I be, I was served up frozen cheese sticks clearly from a supermarket and chopped potatoes with a melted cheese slice on the top with a further side order of more potatoes with what can only be described as some bottled garlic sauce on the top. Absolutely awful, you should be ashamed of yourself and you give Barcelona and Spain a bad name. Thankfully a 20min walk towards the port serves up authentic Spanish tapas restaurants a plenty and reminded you once again why you came to Barcelona in the first place. Avoid if you can or better still get to McDonald's if you need some quick food on the go...its probably more authentic than the dross being...
Read moreKonig is a little gem in Barcelona.... After reading several reviews online, we decided to give it a go on our last night. After a short walk, we arrived at this busy restaurant. There were at least 7 reservations before us but to our surprise, we were seated on the outside terrace within 15 minutes. Situated in a lively area, we ordered a set of tapas and 2 hamburgers - the Premium 1973 and the pinya hamburger. And Oh my word, they were the best burgers we've had in a long time... So many flavours accompanied with a good chilled Pilsen bottle. One advice would be: Do not go overboard on tapas if you're planning on enjoying that juicy hamburger and especially going out afterwards! On average, this place will cost 10 euros per person and we highly recommend it to anyone who want to have a very casual dinner, enjoy some good beer and eat fantastic food.
Don't wait too long, go ahead and...
