This place was the first one we visited after our second lockdown was lifted and it was okay. They had outdoor seating (beautiful as its on enric granados), decently good food but terribly poor customer service. We asked for water and despite our frequent reminders, the lady who served our table that day forgot to get it. There was an air of arrogance or negligence about her. It's as if she selectively wanted to serve only few tables well and ignore the rest. Regarding the food, the tuna tataki with eggplant hummus was delicious. I highly recommend it. The salmon tartar with mango was decent, definitely not the best I've had, given I've tried many tartars at other places. Their menu was also limited that day we visited. They didn't have many items we wanted to order. We assumed the supply chain got impacted due to COVID-19, which is understandable. Glad we ordered the tuna tataki. Given the decently good/okay food and poor service, I'd rather go somewhere else and spend my money.

⚠️ Beware of tourist scams! I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. I specifically asked a female server for tap water, but she either misheard or pretended to misunderstand and brought me a bottled water instead. When I saw the charge on my bill (€2.7 for water) and questioned it, she insisted that I had ordered bottled water. However, I had clearly meant free tap water, which is legally required to be provided in Spain upon request. It felt like an intentional upsell rather than an honest mistake. If they refuse to provide free tap water, they should be upfront about it instead of tricking customers into paying for bottled water. Tourists, be extra careful when ordering water here! Avoid this place if you expect honest service!

Amazing seafood! My husband and I stopped in for a late lunch and it was very easy to find a table. The staff did speak English but they were patient with our not-so-great Spanish and made us feel welcome. We ordered the Carpaccio, Calamari, and the Ceviche. Our favorites were the Calamari and the Ceviche, though the carpaccio was good as well. The Ceviche had a great balance of acid to oil without over saturating the dish and was still light enough to be enjoyed without feeling overstuffed at the end. The calamari was some of the best that I have ever had, loved that it was pan seared. Hope to return!

This restaurant was recommended by our Airbnb host. We have been there three nights in a row, which tells you how good it is ( considering there are a million other restaurants in the area!) The bread is fantastic! We have tried, over the past three visits, many of the tapas items and desserts. We enjoyed: the mixed olives, wild mushrooms with garlic, beef Carpaccio, the cheese assortment, duck magret with peaches, and roasted vegetables with goat cheese and balsamic vinegar. The desserts are delicious, my goal is to try every one before leaving Barcelona. So far, we have had the tiramisu, chocolate coulant with bourbon vanilla ice cream and Caltalan cream ( like a creme brulee). Excellent. The staff has been great, providing us with wine and food recommendations. The selection of wines is very good and the cost is extremely reasonable. Fortunately, the restaurant is only two blocks from our apartment, so we plan to return several more times. As a note: I don't eat meat, but am finding a large number of items to order. My husband has had the Carpaccio twice and proclaims it to be " the...

Unluckily this place seems to only have one remarkable thing, and this is its staff. Friendly, helpful and quick lots of other bars and restaurants only dream of such a team. Nice wine list with some knowledge behind.

The rest is simply avoidable. Furniture and decor is one of those “put-anything-there” as long as it looks vintage (and fake). Food goes from acceptable (butifarra de perol con sepa de temporada) to bland (ensaladilla or croquetas). What is worse is they seem to do exactly what made a lot of people avoid Las Ramblas’ bars: they offered us “a mix of season mushroom” (setas de temporada) and what we got was “champignons de paris lightly grilled and covered with a mushroom infused oil. We mentioned it to our waiter who (apparently) transmitted it to the kitchen. No apologies were provided, nor did they take the plate from the check. Barcelona old style...
