Food was absolutely fantastic and the service nothing less, great and professional staff who know their craft.
But a major upset as my girlfriend has become very sick after eating gluten in your restaurant, whereas we clearly made a reservation that stated ‘gluten allergy’ and upon arrival have let your staff know twice. The tasting menu was adapted and the dishes with gluten were all revised to gluten free which we should compliment you for.
However, this doesn’t change the fact that my girlfriend has eaten gluten coming from your kitchen which you don’t want to take responsibility for. To be absolutely clear, we didn’t eat or drink anything after visiting your restaurant and we actually had to take a taxi because she wasn’t able to walk shortly after leaving the venue and becoming really unwell.
I gave you a call to discuss the situation and also state that these things should not be taken lightly and a celiac as my girlfriend will suffer from the consequences from this incident for multiple days after eating gluten, which will significantly impact our Barcelona trip.
But you’ve still stated that everything went to protocol and therefore aren’t willing to take responsibility that these gluten came from your kitchen, and have made one of your guests really sick.
I don’t usually write these bad reviews as I believe these incidents can be solved without them. But the reason I am, it is that a high class restaurant that doesn’t want to take responsibility for an allergy and that is alarming to me and I hereby want to warn other celiacs to be wary of the risk of eating at...
Read moreWe’ll done team! Brilliant. A Michelin Star restaurant that takes tapas to the next level with well thought out plates each taking you on a taste and texture journey.
We had the tasting menu to get the best that the chefs had to offer.
Each plate that comes has hours of work put into it. Prep, planning, experimenting, love and trail and error.
This place is on its way to an additional star and maybe three if it continues to refine the menu and each dish just a tad more to be one of the fine dining tapas restaurant in the world.
Only recommendations are to let loose. You’ve done it. Food is spot on. You have a Michelin Star. Now create your own culture. A vibe that is unique to you. Play some old school hip hop and then classic jazz. Put art on the walls. Don’t be afraid to offend or disrupt. Focus on ambiance: lower the lights just a bit, turn the music up just a little, more plants, keep experimenting and you’ll be one of the top spots in Barcelona.
As for personal taste, each dish is a journey. Refined flavors that take you from salty to sweet. Rich to spicy. Flat to acidic. Scallops could do with some acidity, maybe like lime zest that needs to be delivered after the first flavors and additionally venison needs chili in the chocolate sauce for the kick and then every dish would be perfect!
Absolutely fairly priced for what you get. Flavors and amount of food is excellent value. Great wines. Attentive service....
Read moreVisited in December, amidst ongoing covid restrictions, though what annoyed me more than safe pass check (even though we were accommodated in the same hotel/building) was that arriving a bit early, they let us wait, stand around outside in the hotel lobby - looking in every five minutes like idiots if entry was available or not, rather than allow us to sit down normally. That is a huge minus. However, this is a matter of bad management rather than the kitchen, which in turn was fantastic, exceeded our high expectations. We had the parmasan egg, which was beyond sublime, wondered how they did it let alone thought of the initial idea. We had the anchovy toast, which underlined the initial awe in how such few and simple ingredients can become something so extraordinarily tasty. This is not something you can emulate and make at home very easily at comparable level. Had the brioche, which yet again, displayed a knack for ..going out of their way to find and offer the best, tastiest ingredient i.e. not sure I've tasted a better brioche. And a few other extraordinary tapas...the only disappointment foodwise were the patatas bravas, which..didn't really stand out, quite the opposite. Overall, well done chef, you're...
