LULU & FLYN — Restaurant in Barcelona

Extremely poor service for a generally unbusy day. I typically don’t bother to leave reviews, but, for a simple order of orange juice and lemonade, the wait time and the unfriendliness surprised me and compelled me to leave a review.

The waitresses forgot about the lemonade and about 15 minutes in, I had to re-order my drink because they seemingly forgot to bring it. There weren’t that many customers inside so I was confused as to what was going on. I understand people aren’t robots but it was an extreme test to my patience.

When we asked for the bill, a waitress responded she will bring it, and she never did. We waited another long period of time before having to go pay up front. I then noticed the multiple people dining outside and were waiting for their bill followed suit and also went in to pay their bill. Overall, just extremely poor service for the small order were asking for. I should have looked at other reviews before coming here because it seems like there are others who have had similar experiences with the wait times. I would not recommend this...

We were staying at the park hotel next door and this was our go to spot for breakfast/brunch or coffee. We were a couple with our mothers and everyone loved all the food and drinks. Even the fussier eaters and those with dietary requirements and aversions. Atmosphere and vibes were immaculate. Food presented beautifully and made with love. However I’ve gotta give a huge shoutout to Brooke who was our waitress. She was so kind and attentive. Really made our mornings. We also love the ethos of the restaurant, womxn owned and run. A melting pot of womxn from all over the world. And let’s face it, girls do it better duuhhh 💅🏻

If you go and Brooke is your server you’ll be sure to have a wonderful experience. Can’t recommend her enough. Give the girl a raise :)

Was initially sceptical because of the location on a street where there are lots of restaurants and bars mainly geared at tourists and of varying quality. However, I was pleasantly surprised with LULU. The all female staff were very friendly and seemed to be enjoying their time at work. They took our orders quickly (not always a given in Barcelona) and our food arrived speedily. I ordered an avocado toast with egg and my boyfriend had the green bowl. Both were delicious and fresh. The portions were just right and our kombucha and coffee were tasty too. The interior is light and there is a small terrace outside too. Would go again for the location and friendly service.
