Buon Appetito — Restaurant in Barcelona

The food here was simply amazing! Original Italian food filled with the best taste of Italy! Our evening here was very satisfactory, nothing was missing and our servitrice Sara was perfect! I had a pizza with ruccola and serrano, which was also amazing. The atmosphere was also great, it was a bit noisy, but that is to be expected in a restaurant with so many happy customers! If I ever come back to Barcelona, I will definitely stop to eat here again! 🍕🍷🇮🇹💯

2nd time visiting. This place was so good that we had to go here again! This time, I had the fungi risotto, which was an explosion of excellent taste and texture. This was the best risotto I have ever had so far! For deserts, I had the pistachio cheesecake. It was fresh, delicious, sweet and perfect! We we're serviced by Alice. She did a wonderful job and we are very satisfied with our second visit! 💯🇮🇹🍄 They even served us each a free lemon shot after we had paid. This was a very nice gesture. Before we ordered food, I also ordered a glass of wine, but never received it. I asked again after getting my food and they gave the wine to me quickly. Great food but really small portions for the fresh pasta. I'm aware that fresh pasta doesn't come in big portions, but this was a bit extreme. I think I got like 5 ravioli? I'm a small person, I don't eat much and I left hungry.

What spoiled the experience was that I did mention this when the waitress asked me how was the meal. I don't know why she asked because I got lectured over fresh pasta being gourmet and therefore the portions have to be small. Then another guy came to my table and gave me another little lecture about the portions of fresh pasta.

If you don't care what customers think, don't ask. But if you actually want feedback, you are really missing the point. Take the feedback, mention this to the kitchen, listen to your customers. You could've even asked if I wanted to order more because I gladly would have, it was delicious.

The attitude was enough to ruin the meal. I didn't appreciate to be talked down - twice. I was very uncomfortable.

Unfortunately, we were not allowed to order from the menu of the day as it was for Spanish people only. In addition, I have a medical condition where I can only eat a very small amount of food and my husband was going to order the menu of the day and I was going to just eat a bite or two. We have done this at a few other restaurants without issue, and I truly only eat a few bites but here it was a huge problem and the waitress denied us eating from the menu of the day. She barely allowed us to order 1 pizza for the two of us. I honestly wanted to walk out the door but this was a restaurant that was highly recommended. Unfortunate experience, and I understand that it wouldn’t be profitable for everyone to share but I really truly can’t eat much.
