Chicken cooked at 80%, service at 20%!

Nice clean place, tasty curries, nice friendly staff except for the chef’s wife who seems to run the whole place. We ordered drinks, a starter and three curries (shrimps, duck and chicken) with one large rice. Drinks were served quickly. The lady forgot the starter and brought curried with three large rice bowls. When we said we ordered only one she told us that she is busy and can’t serve us more is we decide to order more. A bit rude but okay, we took two rice bowls. The duck and shrimp curries were nice, but the chicken one had some uncooked pieces on the bottom of the dish. I told that to one of the waiters who called the lady. She came over quite annoyed telling me that her husband always cooks chicken at 80%. I told her that I do not want to eat uncooked chicken and she started rudely tapping on my shoulder which I did not appreciate. We then asked for the bill, she can over teasing me and started tapping on my leg. I told her not to touch me and she was making jokes. The bill had three rice bowls which I contested, she got so angry that she tiered the bill apart and brought a new one telling us how good she is and bringing up again that her chicken is the right way to be served. I told her that she is quite arrogant, reminded her that she never served us the starter to which she fought back saying that we never order it. It is such a shame, the restaurant chef was actually very nice, as well as all other staff. But the lady is too fool of herself, no customer service, no apology, no understanding. Come on, you do not tap on your clients body to make your comments. A restaurant is not a football game. Especially as it is not the cheapest place in Barcelona. If you go there anyway, make sure you check your bill and do not order...

Don't go there, please!

The food we ordered (vegetarian red curry and langoustine green curry) was not terrible but not really worth the price either.

However the lady running the place was very unpleasant and treated her customers very differently. Some of them were just rudely told off because they didn't have a reservation and to some of them who also didn't have a reservation she was nice and asked them to try coming back later.

But the worst was yet to come. There was an Indian-looking family with two young kids who came in and the lady pretty much immediately started "accusing" them of not having a reservation. They said they had it but they have to look it up and she just kept pressuring them. At that point we tell her we wanna give our table to them and just leave (we came just 10 minutes before also without reservation and honestly we already dislike the place) and she tells us "oh don't worry, they don't have a reservation, don't I know my customers" basically nudging us to stay and taking our order. The family is outside the restaurant making some calls for the next couple of minutes, perhaps someone else made a reservation for them? A couple of minutes later, they come in showing the reservation to the lady and after some arguing she tells them to leave the restaurant, saying "you just made this reservation now, it's not valid and something like "I run this place and I decide who gets in and who doesn't and I tell you to go".

In the best case a broken reservation system and a rude and slightly neurotic owner, in the worst case the most blatant case of racial profiling I've seen in...

Terrible service, so much so that we decided to leave.

After being seated, nobody had come to take our drinks order after 15 mins. We had to leave our seats and grab a waiter to take our order. Not a great start but the restaurant was quite full and the staff looked very busy.

After ordering, both the starter and main course arrived at the same time for inexplicable reason. Also, my partners starter did not arrive. After waiting 10 mins for my partners elusive starter to arrive we had had enough. We paid for the drinks and and left.

Maybe we caught them on a bad night but the service was really poor which was compounded by the fact that others tables appeared to be getting the level of service I would expect. Timely drink orders, starters before main course etc.

If you are not spanish and not white I wouldn't take the chance...
