When we arrived at the restaurant we were the only guests because we went there at an unusual time, but that's not the problem. Whereas many other difficulties occured: First of all the waitress did barely understand English so she called for another waiter. Unfortunately he did not speak that much English as well, tbh he was even worse at understanding us than his colleague. We asked for free water (as typical for Spain in most restaurants) but we had to pay for the unwanted bottle we got. Next we ordered our dishes, three of them were perfectly fine (maybe the price wasn't totally justified) BUT the fourth one was the most random dish you could ever get. Although I had ordered ‚grilled noodles with garlic and parsley‘ I got a plate full of clams which are as far as I can tell not even on the menu. First of all, I am vegetarian and second of all I had shown him the dish I wanted to order on the menu to make sure he understood what I wanted to eat. After he brought me the second (wrong) dish, I explained him once more that I do not eat meat or seafood. I chose to order some Patatas Bravas because I thought that they couldn‘t do much wrong with this dish. Another thing I‘ve noticed is that some dishes on the menu are served with meat although it isn‘t mentioned on the menu e.g. ‚patatas de olot‘ and the second dish they brought me which was apparently the one I‘d originally ordered but with masses of seafood on it. In additon the restroom on the left was missing toilet paper and the one on the right had no working flush. Atleast one thing was very good: The mojitos were delicious but also a little expensive (6€).
I would not recommend the restaurant for vegetarians...
Read moreI don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I feel the need to warn others. The starters arrived at different times, and despite that, they were all cold. When we mentioned this to the staff, there was little acknowledgment and barely an apology. To make matters worse, when our plates were cleared, we were told to keep our cutlery—even though it was still covered in remnants of our cold starters.
Moving on to the mains, the paella tasted as if it had been cooked days ago and reheated. The prawns were tough, the mussels were inedible, and the rice was dry and stodgy. The rest of the table ordered steaks, which were disappointingly fatty. When we politely raised our concerns with the staff, the only response was a quiet “sorry” before they quickly moved to clear the table. There was no real acknowledgment or sincere apology, which made it even more frustrating to be handed the full bill at the end…
We completely understand that these issues were mostly beyond the control of the waitstaff. However, a sincere apology or even a small reduction in the bill would have gone a long way in making up for the experience. Feels like a waste of money and a downer on our last night...
Read moreHey, maybe you guys have very good lunch or dinner but it’s not the place to have breakfast. For all of the reason is the price. The most expensive breakfast I ever had in Barcelona. 1) Huevos Benedict costs 9 euros ( most expensive I ever see in town ) when we order it the waitress recommends us the Huevo menu. Costs 15 euros. ( Egg, cafe , oranges juice ).Let’s check if Egg costs 8 euros, cafe 1.8 euros why a orange juice costs 5.2 euros ? We arrived the at 10am , a breakfast time. No any fresh bread. So we need order Toast ( 5 euros ) the unbelievable thing is the toast is only two pieces of normal bread and you need to put some supermarket bottle jam. This is a totally joke.
I give you two stars because the decorations gives good vibe. But my experience was not that good. If we paid because we’d love to have good food value this price. But sorry your neighbor 365 café their 1.7 euros breakfast offer is even...
