I really don’t like leaving a 1-star review because I know it can hurt a business, but I feel it’s important to share my honest experience. Since the restaurant advertises “authentic” Vietnamese cuisine, I had high expectations. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to them.
We ordered two lunch menus, but the dishes didn’t arrive at the same time—my nem and pho came while the other person was still waiting for their meal. The steamed dumplings had a strange filling with an unpleasant, mushy texture. The pho was even more disappointing: the broth tasted like plain water with coriander, despite being described as cooked for 12 hours. It lacked depth and flavor, and the beef itself was bland.
I was also surprised to see lemon instead of lime served with the pho, and the herbs were just a pile of coriander with no basil in sight. When the server asked about the food, I explained my concerns, and to be fair, he kindly offered to remake the dish. Service-wise, they are trying, and I do appreciate that effort. But in the end, a restaurant is not just about service—it’s mainly about serving good food, and that’s where the experience fell short.
Overall, it was a very disappointing experience and not what I would consider authentic...
Read moreWe came here with a large group for lunch, and most of us went with the daily menu. Overall, it was a good experience—great value for Vietnamese food, especially considering the variety offered.
The menu del día had plenty of choices: at least five options for starters, mains, and desserts, which is much better than the usual 1–2 dish options you see elsewhere. It also includes dessert, and for a small extra cost, you can add one of their homemade drinks, which was a nice touch.
That said, the portion sizes were on the small side. It’s probably just right if you’re heading back to work and don’t want to feel too full—but some people in our group were still a bit hungry. For example, I ordered a rice paper roll dish (possibly “cu gojon”) from the daily menu and got two pieces, while a friend who ordered the same dish à la carte received four pieces—so be aware of the size difference.
The service was fast, even for a group, and the staff handled everything smoothly. The place is also located in a very nice area, which makes it a lovely spot for lunch.
Definitely a place I’d recommend, especially if you’re looking for a tasty, efficient lunch with a good selection of...
Read moreReally good Vietnamese restaurant with a relaxed, spacious setting and comfortably cool temperature inside. The tables are well spaced, making it great for both groups and solo diners. The service was excellent—fast, kind, and very attentive, especially from our server Mohamed (who deserves a shout-out for being particularly welcoming and helpful).
I had all vegan dishes and was impressed: fresh spring rolls with tofu and peanut sauce, followed by sautéed vegetable rice noodles with tofu. Both were full of flavor, fresh, and cooked perfectly. There are more vegan options on the menu that I’ll definitely come back to try.
My partner had a traditional spicy sour mixed meat soup with rice noodles that smelled amazing and he was also super happy.
Needless to say, but just in case it helps the reader decide, we will definitely...
