Wenzhou 5 — Restaurant in Barcelona

Didn’t expect this to be an authentic Japanese restaurant, not even sure why they say it’s Japanese in the first place. However, I expected to have a decent dinner, considering the most recent reviews of this place are good. However, this was probably the worst dinner I had in Barcelona so far. “Ramen” is just a generic name for whatever soup with noodles (it has nothing to do with real ramen), mine was full of fat and lacked flavor. The gyozas and baos were far (very far) from fresh, even the edamame didn’t taste right (how is it even possible to have bad edamame?!). As a matter of fact, we all got stomach issues the morning after, very very unpleasant experience. Do yourself a favor and stay away...

Great Japanese restaurant in Gracia neighborhood. The place has plenty of space for large groups but make sure to make a reservation before. They offer 3 different menus: a la carté, 4 dishes menu and all-you-can eat buffet (drinks and dessert are not included). If you want to try a bit of everything, I think it's worth having the buffet. You can get more variety and less quantity. Otherwise, the 4 dishes option have food for a regular meal. Go for the a la carté option if you have a clear choice. The staff is really nice and specially attentive, whereas in other restaurant of this kind, the service are extremely stressed and they don't really pay...

Japonès autèntic al mig de Barcelona!!

Quina bona sorpresa que m'he emportat al trobar aquest nou restaurant japonès! Ja només entrar, el servei es japonès, i fent una ullada ràpida a la sala tots els grups són japonesos! Crec que era l'únic català de tota la sala!

El lloc és nou, reformat, molt ben ambientat amb diferents espais on pots menjar tranquil (al més pur estil dels restaurants del Japó). La carta amb clar japonès (i traduït al castellà). Els plats tots autèntics del Japó. Els preus molt adequats, gens car!

Fins aquí tot anava de merabella, he escollit uns plats conservadors (a veure si amb tanta autenticitat no m'agradaria res). He escollit yakishoba i saltejat de verdures i pollastre. BRU-TAL, els millors que he menjat en la meva vida, ni quan vaig anar al Japó! Gens greixosos, saborosos, amb els ingredients integrats, amb possibilitat de posar-te picant del que pica com déu mana i quantitat generosa. INCREÏBLE! De ben segur que repetiré! I el pròxim cop m'atreviré amb plats autèntics japonesos! L'únic punt negatiu de tot és que a les taules, per defecte, no hi han bastonets, hi ha forquilles!!! Recomanaria als propietaris que posessin bastonets per defecte i que si algú no en sap, ja demanà...
