Zafra offered a good dinner, to a reasonable price.
They seemed to have a menu, which were meant for a 3 course dinner. As a group of 5, we shared some appetizers, and ordered a main course each. The food was fine, nothing out of the ordinary, but still tasted great. 2 of us ordered carbonara, and we were given the choice of wich pasta we wanted. The carbonara did not taste like the usual carbonara that you get, the restaurant is traditional Italian themed, so that might be why. It had good chunks of ham/bacon, and were really buttery, which is great depending on one's taste. Don't expect the main courses to be large, even though the price could indicate it.
The restaurants service was impeccable, as is usually the case, in my experience, when it comes to family run restaurants. The waiter was concerned for how our experience was, and seemed proud of his family's restaurant. That was really great.
The atmosphere was a bit odd. Outside it seemed fancy, but the tables were of bad quality, the walls were kinda blant. The tupperware was bent, by design, which was really funny, but also impacted the eating a bit, in a negative way.
Zafra was a great place to eat, a bit odd, so if you don't mind spending a bit more, just for the traditional Italian experience, this is a...
Read moreWe stumbled upon Zafra and were absolutely blown away by the experience. Every single dish we ordered was extraordinary — from the starters to the desserts, each bite felt like a love letter to Italian cuisine. You can truly taste the care and authenticity in everything they serve.
But what really made the experience unforgettable was the hospitality. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, treating us more like family than customers. In particular, the lady working there went above and beyond in every way. Her only goal seemed to be to make us feel at home, comfortable, and fully immersed in the lovely atmosphere they’ve created.
When there were no tables left outdoors, she didn’t hesitate — she set up a table in a small space near the entrance that somehow felt even better than a regular spot. She made it feel special, like we were meant to be there. It was such a kind and thoughtful gesture, and it perfectly reflected the spirit of the place.
Zafra isn’t just a restaurant — it’s an experience of warmth, generosity, and incredible food. We left with full hearts and full bellies. Can’t recommend it...
Read moreWe walked in randomly and sat sort of inside, the outdoor tables were full, but there was this lovely corner by the entrance with a chess board on it.. got some drink and afterwards ordered some food. Mine was the the gnocchi with gorgonzola. Absolutely delicious, the sauce was flavorful and the texture of the gnocchi was very nice as well! Other person from our table got the spaghetti bolognese and were equally pleased. The service was great and we were treated witg genuine kindness from the people during our visit. Especially there was this lovely, gentle and super attentive woman 🌵🪴🙏😊 We definitely plan to go back for the...
