Bar Mullarkey's Benalmádena — Restaurant in Benalmádena

We visited this pub on a Wednesday and Thursday night 27/28/ Sept. 2023. The pub is very big inside Not your typical so-called Irish pub this pub is very well decorated the attention to detail has to be seen like anywhere in Clare or Galway. When this pub was done up it was longevity the owner had in mind (one of the best Irish pub abroad I have seen). There was a great crowd with very good atmosphere plenty of seating inside and outside. Both nights the had live bands again not your typical half alcoholic banging at a guitar in the corner . These were proper brilliant bands 4/5 members absolutely brilliant musicians especially the Female member Thursday night she could play4/5 different instruments and sing. The staff were very efficient But the only downfall is that the were like robots the just served and took the money . Toilets were very clean again same standard you'd expect in Ireland. I would highly recommend this pub definitely one night and see...

Had to write a review after being turned away from here 5mins ago. I rarely write reviews but felt the need here: Families or kids are not allowed here. We got turned away and embarrassed infront of an entire terrace full of people because we have a 1yo with us. This is not irish culture at all considering we all grew up as families frequenting pubs at home with families and kids it's an integral part of being irish. Ireland is a pro-family country clearly this bar isn't irish and to embarrass us infront of a full terrace is humiliating all we wanted was 1-2 drinks in a familiar homely environment maybe strike up a convo with another irish couple but to be turned away for having a 1yo is not on.

Also they have signs up saying "food served all day" yet they don't do food so that's another thing
