We loved this restaurant so much we decided to come back for our last night in Benalmádena.
Service: Again all servers were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. In fact our server recognized us from last time and noted we were in the same seat and thanked us for our last review!
Food: Again we started with Onion Bhaji which came with 4 chutneys, all of which were unique and well prepared. Just to mix things up we tried the minced Lamb samosas...great! The ground lamb was beautifully season and the philo dough samosa was crispy and tender.
My wife had a glass of white wine and I of course had a Cobra beer.
Our main courses were Chicken Vindaloo (hot). We tried a new house specialty Chicken Rara (medium) on the suggestion of our server Both curries were again exquisite, with huge depth of flavour. Like our first visit, although the chicken was all white meat it still arrived moist, tender and well seasoned. No chance to season was missed.
Portion sizes were plentiful without overdoing it.
Again We ordered jeera rice with cumin seeds and it was cooked nicely and provided a nice perfume as a compliment to the curries.
Lastly, we had garlic naan which was perfect. Our server recalled from my previous review and asked how they could improve it and voila she made sure it was prepared that way. Wow!
All 5's this time.
One other note, it is clear that this restaurant gets a lot of regulars as the owners and staff greet many like family.
We highly recommend this establishment. Our only regret is that we won't be back for...
Read moreThis restaurant did not meet our expectations and we recommend other customers to find other alternatives. The waitress seems quite uninterested in our team of 7 guest. Two guests wanted “not too hot dishes” which turned out completely tasteless. Strange when dishes can still be tasty but not hot at other restaurants?!! Mind you that they (like many other restaurants in Malaga) charge you for the bread that they place in front of you together with your drinks. When we asked about this when we payed they replied that “the food takes quite a bit of time to prepare so we put bread as snacks on all tables”. Perfectly okay BUT if it’s not complementary we think the restaurant shall state this and not just add snacks/starters/dishes on the table without us asking for it.
REGARDING RESTAURENTS ANSWER TO OUR REVIEW: Interesting that the “manager” asks us not to put bad reviews on social media(!) The not so true reply and attitude from the “restaurants manager” pretty much says it all.
1.5 out of 5. We suggest you choose another...
Read moreMe and the family were looking for a restaurant to have dinner after being disappointed at another place being closed for new year's, as we walked up the road the smell from this place was almost like a trance, one of those sketches of the cartoon character floating up to a pie left on the window type things, and seriously this was the best dinner I've ever had!
Greeted soo very well from the staff, wonderful friendly atmosphere and I cannot put into words just how good the food was, I'm a foodie, I love many different cuisines and back home Indian is one of my favourites, the chicken tikka Kadai I had was the tastiest and most beautiful thing I've eaten, a quick spoonful while the table order was still being handed out and it wasn't my normal "oh that's great" it was "Wow! You need to try this"
The portion sizes are perfect, the prices are great and I'm really happy with how the night turned out, this is a must-try place if you remotely enjoy Indian foods! Not only the best meal of our holiday but the best...
