I absolutely cannot understand the many positive reviews. We had an unpleasant experience and I absolutely can't recommend this place.

Our table was placed in front of the kitchen - there was a strong smell of smoke from the kitchen from time to time - very unpleasant.

We ordered a fillet steak which wasn't available so we had to switch to a sirloin, carbonara and two salads. One salad explicitly WITHOUT dressing, but with vinegar/oil to dress by ourselves.

Drinks were delivered very late even though the place was not busy.

When the food was served, there was dressing on both salads, even though we specifically ordered one without.

For the food itself: Carbonara oversalted but probably a matter of taste, salads moderate. Only the sirloin deserves praise.

And now the biggest cheek: Before the meal, a basket of bread that we hadn't ordered was placed at the table. We assumed it was the bread comming along with the salad, so we said nothing. This bread basket was on the bill at the end with almost 4 €!

I confronted the waiter that, in my opinion, its not okay to put something on the table without telling them that it would be charged extra. I know it from Germany that bread is always served free of charge with salad! He only replied that it was the norm here and I should have just leave the bread untouched !! Impudence !!

You have to be careful here and luckily there are many other, better places in this area that don't...

I've thought carefully about this before posting because of our experience. We arrived at 6:30pm and were asked if we had reservations. I had tried 3 times by phone,only to get a recorded message. After I stated that, they accommodated us and the server explained that they had a VOIP phone system that they had been having problems with. After getting our drink orders, we had a few questions about the menu that the server was happy to answer. Being a visitor to the country we were unfamiliar with many items. Our first course came in a timely manner and we all enjoyed the food. We then waited a very long time, an hour to an hour and a half for the entree. One if our party asked if we had offended them in some way. The server was quick to say no, they just had some sort of problem in the kitchen. We watched as people came, got their orders, ate and left. We were disappointed. We finally got our entrees and I am assuming it was the head waiter or maybe the owner, came over and opened a bottle of wine and told us it was on the house. While we appreciated the gesture, our evening had greatly depreciated by then as we were into the third hour and wanting to leave. Pity, I think my review might have been much better had we been informed there was a problem and perhaps offered an alternative. We didn't really want a third bottle of wine as only half of our party...

Good table Very friendly attentive staff/owners Drink ordered a btl of San Miguel Opened at the table nice touch. I ordered from the set Menu 3 course €19

There are plenty of choices starters Ie: Prawn pil pil Garlic bread Salad Plus, many more.

Plenty of mains too

I asked the waiter to recommend my main for me ( I like to do this,I feel you then get something they like to cook) Barbecued Ribs.

Starter: I had a salad, which was huge Nice tomatoes, cucumber red onion, lettuce egg tuna . A meal on its own, really.

Main: Barbecued Ribs Large plate with ribs with some nice few well cooked skin on chips/fries Now again, lrg portion

I did bring my dessert home with me all well packaged 📦

Overall, it was a great place to enjoy a very well portioned meal. Plenty of choices . I did not dine till 2130 So late tho Great friendly staff, especially when dining alone . I did not feel awkward or less important than a family/group Which is very important, I think.
