Stag and Pheasant — Restaurant in Benidorm

Would not go near this place. THE most ignorant staff or owner I have ever had the misfortune to deal with.

Normally I'd sit at Rica's Beach Bar a few feet away, but decided to try this place for a change. It was busy, but a table of 5 people got up and left. I sat down and spotted a look off disapproval on the nearby waitresses face...had a feeling something was about to happen and, sure enough, her sidekick waiter said table is booked (this was at 4.pm). I asked him was he sure and he frowned, said yes, so, very embarrassed because everyone was watching, I got up and walked away.

Stood about 20 feet away deciding where to go and about 5 minutes later, he looks over at me, smiles, shrugs his shoulders, puts his hands together in a prayer gesture, shuts his eyes and semi-bows down the way you see Japanese people doing, then straightened up. I shook my head at him in disgust and took a seat back at Rica's.

Watched the vacated table for a hour, and saw one couple ask if they could sit there and got the nod of approval. About 15 minutes later, 3 people appeared looking around for somewhere to sit and gestured if it was ok to sit down and got the ok again. They did not know the couple already there and never spoke to them whilst there.

Owners and/or barstaff with this type of attitude towards customers, are not fit to deal with the public, in my opinion and I wouldn't spend my hard-earned money with this type of establishment as they definitely do...

Coming to benidorm on a regular basis, this place was one of our goto pubs for cocktails as it has nice views of the beach made all the better by lovely owners. Went a few days ago for cocktails and was asked if we were coming on New years Eve as they were putting on tapas as well, so we said yes

When we left at 11:30 for the New years Beach party and having paid the bill, we saw a charge of 15 euro for the tapas listed as a special charge Nothing comes for free as they say, but we had been earlier for a curry costing 30 euro. We went there for the atmosphere. The tapas charge was added without even a thought of had we eaten anything. There was no mention of the charge. This was just added and expected you pay. At least 6 orher couples expressesed the disarray of the charge. A few did not eat anything due to allergies

A very. Quick way to have your customers who did enjoy coming. To become people who will not set foot on your doorstep again through an additional charge that was not advised, just put onto a bill and expected or made everyone pay for even if they did not eat

I came here and straight away the staff were rushing me to order before i'd even sat down and looked at the menu. Once I did order I got the lasagna and knew something was wrong with it straight away. It tasted sour and off and just did not taste like it was safe to eat. My mother raised this concern with the staff but they got very defensive and blamed me saying I just didn't like the food and was being picky (my toddler who eats chicken feet and tripe even turned her nose down at it after 2 bites). Let me reface to say that I love lasagna and have had it in many forms with many price points and when I say that this lasagna was 'bad' I mean it. The salad that came with it had been left out for a while as the cucumber and tomatoes were so dry. The garlic bread however was decent so if you just want to order that then that was okay.

If I had continued to eat it or my toddler I can guarantee it would have made us sick.

Their customer service was terrible and they refused to believe the food was inedible.

Avoid this place if you want food and go elsewhere, it's overpriced for the quality you get and not worth the...
