El Galeon — Restaurant in Benidorm

At first, I kinda regretted that I picked a table inside instead of sitting outside.

They placed us by a big speaker, blasting music. A singer also started to do a mic check, and accidently did it on a really high volume.

But, all was forgiven when he started to sing. Always nice with live music, if done well.

We ordered the big sea food platter. My wife loved it. I thought it was OK. I'm more a steak person.

The kid's burger had a dry patty. Don't order the burgers here.

The spagetti bolognese was tasty! My other son loved it.

The service was good. Friendly staff. But, we were a little disappointed during payment. The bill was 88 Euro, so I was planning to give some extra, because we had a great time...

But the waiter kept saying 98 Euro, 98 Euro, is it OK? I was a little turned off by that, so I rounded it up to 90 Euro instead.

I think that we will return. I want to try the T-bone steak. Seems popular.

Day two!

Staff is still super friendly, but busy. Hard to catch their eye. Resorted to hand waving.

I thought I would get a great experience, ordering the Iberico medallions, because of Iberico = Spain. Instead, I got some dry medallions with a bland sauce. So disappointed. I hate dry meat.

And the waiter never asked what I thought of my dish...

My wife ordered the T-Bone steak, which was big and juicy. Finally... So, we shared that one instead.

What we didn't know is that there's a kids menu. 9 Euro for a drink, main course and ice cream. Good deal. The kids didn't like the ice cream tho.

They had live music this evening as well. The speaker was directed right at us. It was a little too loud this time. The kids didn't like it.

I also thought it was a little bit strange that they didn't sync the food. Instead, they came one by one.

We also found a loose nail in my youngest sons chair.

Based on what other people were ordering, I think seafood is the safer bet here.

So... After trying this restaurant two nights in a row, I have concluded that the rating...

Avoid this place absolutely awful.would give -10 star My husband ordered T-bone steak, they bought something else out like a pork lion. We definitely know the difference between a T-Bone and pork chop we sent it back plus mine as we wanted to eat together. Literally they bought the same out on a heated slate. Absolutely disgusting, we said where is the T-bone they said it was. We said we will leave it and pay for the wine. We had half a bottle of wine They charged us an extra £8 on top of the wine for service. We said what service we will pay the price of the wine. One said meat is expensive in England you get cheap meat here. Wouldn't mind if it was the right meat. We said again we will pay for the wine and nothing else. We never touched the food it was disgusting. One waiter grabbed the bottle of wine of me and told is to leave. We left, next thing as we were walking up the road, the waiter came out waving the bottle of wine in a violent manner. Never in my life have I witnessed anything like this he is an absolute disgrace. Shouting In Spanish, I shouted back you come at us with a bottle. Honestly this place is awful inside looks awful we only went as a couple of days before we went pass and someone was eating a...

Don't bother with this place ( Be very careful about the pricing on the offers)went there last night as a group of four (two couples) had been sat opposite it the afternoon before and thought it looked good. How wrong can you get. We looked through the menu and chose one of the many options posted outside on huge boards for two people to share 29€ or there about. When to our suprise 3 plates come out not 4 we queried this with the waiter " yes that's correct he says" so we eat and ask for a bottle of house white. The steak was tuff even with the supplied steak knife it was hard going another bottle of house white and the bill comes out we have been charged for 3 29€ meals not the 2 sharing meals we ordered and it turns out their house white which was passable but nothing exceptional was 16.50€ a bottle. We all 4 live within half an hours drive of this place but will never be making the same mistake of eating here again. As a side note the member of staff who was fine until we initially queried our order got steadily worse and was quite angry by the time we left. Thought for the day " Give this place a miss" I'm sure there are better options...
