The Agir Springs Hotel — Hotel in Benidorm

Enjoyed our stay here at the end of January 2024 for my mum's 65th birthday. Location was fantastic, right in the centre of everything, 5 minute walk to the shops and the beach.

Room faced onto the main street opposite the arcade and bowling, the soundproofing on the doors was good as outside sound wasn't an issue at all. Beds super comfy and even had a bolster which was great and now we've had to go buying them for our beds at home! 😂 Plenty UK tv channels on the tv, but ITV didn't work (not a big deal). I just wish that there were some drawers to keep underwear and other small things in as you get a sliding door wardrobe with some shelves and a hanging rail, but the shelves aren't ideal for putting underwear as theres no privacy.

Breakfast buffet was nice and they seemed to rotate it every few days, from chorizo sausages (amazing) to Irish recipe style the next, hash browns, fritata. You have the option to order omlette, poached eggs, pancakes and bacon and fried eggs too. Dinner wasn't as good as the food was rather bland with a very small selection and nothing basic like chicken nuggets, chips/fries, pizza or roast chicken so we ended up eating out a lot because of this. Half the dessert menu is scored off too but only on some of the menus as my mum tried to order strawberries and cream for dessert only to be told they don't have it... I can see why there was never any more than 2 other people there at dinner. Breakfast was busy enough though!

I would stay here again but would come either breakfast only or self catering, not half board as dinner is...

Staff are excellent here very helpful and chatty, rooms are as in the pictures but in need of a little tlc. Stopped here for two nights, the first night no problems, everything in the room was fine, heating worked, comfortable bed. In the morning got up and into the shower but the shower head didn't work correctly and the water just trickles out so we went and had breakfast which was very nice by the way, and then went to reception to ask of they could change the showerhead, we were told no problem however 2 hours later still no maintenance man so went to ask again to be told the maintenance man does not work in the afternoon so the swopped us into a different room, the new room had a sea view however we had pretty much the same problem as the last room except the shower head was marginally better but the bath was tiny and I was at lease 1 foot too tall to use the barely working shower head. We just put up with it though, being on the 3rd floor you get a lot of noise from the road, also in our room I genuinely thought the wife was snoring her head off so I nudged her at which point she told ME to stop snoring when in fact it was the bloke next door to us! As for the Jacuzzi and saunas, we paid 50 pounds per night so we could also relax unwind and use the facilities, the Jacuzzi area smelled extremely bad of dried salt water/old fish the water looked extremely dirty, and neither of the saunas were working and looked extremely dirty and tired and worn out. Will return Liked the Hotel.But some things need pointing out! Being an Adult only hotel it can get noisy on a weekend especially people in and out of their rooms,Doors slamming,Chairs being moved by scraping along the floor,Shouting down the corridors,congregating in the the corridors to chat etc at 2-4 am after a drinking session. The room I had was small but comfortable,the bathroom door opens on to the toilet bowl and only one person can get into bathroom at a time. The bed was satisfactory,a/c was good and it had a Southerly facing balcony. The Resteraunt was lovely,good service and food served with a hint of Fine dinning. The roof top area was an adequate size but only 11 approx good sun loungers that are of good quality but not enough of them,they have towels on them at 9am !! So before breakfast reserve your sunbed with a towel!. Street noise can be boisterous so I suggest a floor near the top of the hotel ,I was on the 2nd floor and was disturbed many times from the bar next door and passers by.
