Portus Massai — Restaurant in Benidorm

really disappointing experience! I honestly don’t know why this restaurant has that many positive reviews… the waitress that served me & my boyfriend was extremely rude, not friendly at all. At first we thought it’s because of her English which was not the best (no problem) but then we saw another table who also talked English and she was fine with that so I guess she just doesn’t wanted us there?? We asked her for drink menu they didn’t had one so we just ordered something we thought of and got served something completely else. The food was quick to serve but it tasted so boring and without any flavor. When we asked for salt and pepper she didn’t answer us and didn’t bring any. Every other table she gave salt and pepper without asking. After that she didn’t showed up at our table again. I guess this place is nice to have a drink to because of the atmosphere but for food or a nice evening with friendly staff you can forget it. Prices also not reasonable for the portion sizes and...

We stopped here for lovely cold beer after a hot walk along the beach. We were made to feel unwelcome by the rude staff. When I couldn’t see any table service staff I went to the bar where the bar staff ignored me (fair enough not her job but rude anyway) when I finally got table service staff she wasn’t friendly and didn’t repeat our order so as far as we knew she had just walked off. When we wanted to pay and leave she wasn’t around so I went in the bar again where I found her and she got irritated saying she had no idea what we need to pay for if we’re not at the table (it was in sight about 5 metres away!). She reluctantly took the payment but was ranting in Spanish to the other staff the whole time. Won’t ever go back there, but I don’t think they’ll care! 😆 11.39...

2nd time here on our weeks holiday & the reason why is firstly, the salad is great, (as is the location!) & finally, the service here is top notch. Very attentive waiters/waitresses! There was a queue & we gave them our name so when it was our turn to get a table we were beckoned! A local couple who just arrived decided to grab our alloted table but the waitress told them to get off as table was already taken, by us! Thank you waitress! Also, a pair of fellow Brits decided to go straight in at the bar & just grab a empty table with queue waiting!
